Probably should not mention it here, but I think Jameson Williams, Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and TJ Hockenson were all drafted in round 1.

And I may be mistaken but the Eagles spent a 1st round pick on DeVonta Smith and traded a 1st for AJ Brown.

Just weird, weird allocation of resources.

The Packers spent the equivalent of a first, two #2s, on a receiver with suspect hands and durability, when they could have stood pat and got a good deep threat AND a much-needed safety.

When your D is in even more need of talent than your WRs, this is what happens.  Gute may have gotten so used to TT drafting #1WRs after RD1 that he thought he could just as easily do the same.  Oops.

Jennings, Nelson, Driver, and Adams were all outstanding, but only Adams was really a superstar WR. Every one of them, including Adams, looked a lot better than they were when every pass thrown to them was coming from Favre or Rodgers. Jennings was not good when he was in Minnesota or Miami. Nelson was terrible with the Raiders. Love is decent, but he's not Favre or Rodgers.

Gutey is very good at finding above average or serviceable players in the mid to late rounds. He's not been able to find elite players, but those guys are usually gone in the first 8-10 picks. The few times he got to draft higher in the first, he took Gary and Van Ness.

McDonald has looked pretty good this year, and was taken with their pick.

He's also 25 215 days

Van Ness is 23 183 days

McDonald also has 115 more snaps  over his career than LVN and played in the same system both years. Also don't ask Jets fans how McDonald is against the run. We have no clue what their assignments are on any given play. McDonald could very well be better than LVN but there's more to their play than just sacks.
