Once again, why the fuck the highest paid CB in the NFL is not trailing the best WR's is beyond me..

+ I had faith that Doubs would bounce back and he looked good.

+ I also had advocated for getting Toure some playing time over playing Amari, and I stand by that. Still not sure why Amari is even still here.

+ Good return by Nixon, although it was wiped out by a penalty. This is what I want to see; someone other than Amari doing the returns!

+ It was my birthday and I am always very excited when the Packers play on my birthday.

- It was my birthday and the Packers crapped the bed.

- I don’t like AR12’s demeanor during these games. I want to see him engaging with his teammates and encouraging and driving them to be better. Instead of sulking!

- Injuries.

- Can’t believe the Queens are in first place.

- And the biggest negative of all (drum roll please) … CAN’T BELIEVE WE HAVE BLOWN TO OPPORTUNITY TO PASS THE BEARS FOR ALL-TIME NFL WINS! Sheesh!

Happy birthday!  It was my birthday yesterday too.  It helped that I had a few shots of tequila.

All we need is to win the rest of our division games to put at 6 wins, then we need 2 wins out of the Titans, Cowboys, Eagles, Rams, and Dolphins...

And then we need the Bandwagon Franchise to lose to the Bills, Cowboys, Jets, Lions, Giants, Packers, and Bears...

And then we win the division and make the Playoffs as the 4 seed.

Honestly, from the scenario above, I find it more likely that the Bandwagon Franchise will do its part more than we will do ours.

+

If the above happens, that might be the best season of football since run the table, or the Cardinals "Nooooo!" season finale.

Titans - Derek Henry might run for 300 yards against us.

Cowboys - If Zeke Elliott is healthy, he might go for 200.

Eagles - Jalen Hurts will scramble for at least 4 first downs.

I think we'll beat the Rams. Their OL is as bad as ours. However, I'm sure we'll scheme to put Alexander on Cooper Kupp as little as possible.

Dolphins - what could go wrong with Tyreke Hill running deep post routes with Savage in coverage? With Alexander covering there weakest WR most of the game?

The Vikings have a long history of starting fast only to fade away.  2000?  7-0 turned into 11-5.  2003?  6-0 turned into 9-7.  2004?  5-1 turned into 8-8.  2016?  5-0 turned into 8-8.  2019?  8-3 turned into 10-6.  I’m sure I’m missing other seasons.  Those are just a few I recall in the last 20 years.

The problem is I’m not sure i see this team winning 10+ games even if the Vikings choke.

Positives, in no particular order:

Went to Bar-Bill and had some incredible Cajun Honey Butter BBQ Wings and a Beef on Wick because why not?  Got in line at 11am (they open at 11:30) and by the time they opened we were first in and about 40 people had to decide to continue waiting or go home.

Niagra Falls. Cross that off the bucket list.

Tailgating from about 3pm till an hour before the game. Holy shit, these people don't mess around. Got to see all the staples such as:

1. Pinto Ron's car. Complete with a milk jug in the back holding some milk from the mid 90's. They were grilling on the front of the Pinto as per usual. The car died years ago so it sits in a tailgate lot all season.

2. People taking shots of some nasty Polish booze (tastes like Ny-Quil) from the thumb hole of a bowling ball. Don't worry, they wipe it down between shots.

3. Saw a few folding tables getting wiped out with WWE style pile driver moves.

4. Watched Pinto Ron getting completely soaked in ketchup.

5. Saw the bed of a pickup truck with what looked like 1,000 empty beer cans in it - this was before 5pm.

Positives during the game:

Listening to Bills fans whine about the Packers repeatedly running the ball down the throat of the defense. If it bothers the fans this much, just imagine how the defense feels about it.

A few drunken idiots during the game a few rows ahead of us making the local sheriffs take multiple trips to their seats to sort out what was going on. No fights, just a lot of idle threats and jawing back and forth. Wasn't even Packers fans, it was Eagles fans. WTF??

Bills fans were great to be around. Didn't hurt that I was with 5 Bills fans and wearing my 2010 Rodgers Pro Bowl jersey which blended in nicely since it's Red, White and Blue. But it was very similar to Lambeau, they will give you some shit and share their beers with you.

Negatives:

Lost their 4th game in a row. Injuries. Walker getting ejected. Fuckin refs.

You must of went to Bar Bill North on Main St. Haven't been there yet. The original spot is in East Aurora. Small place with big crowds.

Too bad I didn't now you were going to Niagara Falls. We were in town Sat. for Rusty's mom's birthday. Rusty was a NF tour guide for 3 years during the summer. He probably could have given you some tips to enhance your experience.

No, it was the original in East Aurora. My buddy and his wife were aware of how busy they were which is why we got there at 11. We were barely first in line. By the time they opened at 11:30 the line was halfway down the street.

When we were there the Sabres were playing a day game at St. Louis on a Sunday. Bar was packed but a big table in front of the giant TV was on. We had the whole area to ourselves with a waitress watching the game and eating wings while people were climbing over each other at the bar trying to get a drink.

Reading this makes me recall when we used to watch games at a sports bar that was the Atlanta-area fan club place.
When we first began going there (after the owner's invitation), the crowd was moderate, but everybody settled on particular seats that we tended to sit at every week.
When the Packers started becoming a very good team @1992-93, the bandwagoners started showing up, and created a wait line that grew larger and larger by the week.
All of a sudden, the folks that had been faithful for the previous 2-3 years would find themselves SOL if they weren't in line an hour or more before kickoff, and/or they would sit you at a table not of your choosing.
It finally got to a point where it just wasn't worth going there any longer.

-- The OL is probably one of the worst in the NFL this year.  I can't believe how many jailbreaks there were the past two weeks vs Wash and Buff when they weren't even blitzing.  The fact that teams can rush 4 and get constant pressure blows up the entire passing game.

I heard a stat this morning from a Vikings-centric source quoting Next-Gen: The three QBs with the least amount of time to throw before pressure/hit this year are 1. PJ Walker, 2. Tom Brady and 3. Aaron Rodgers.

Gutekunst inherited a top-notch left tackle, good center, a solid starting line overall and spent twelve picks on offensive line and here's where they're at. That's worse than TT finding defensive backs.

Add in the fact he's spent nine picks on receiver types and again, here's where they're at.

Maybe you should post this in a few more threads.

EVERYTHING on offense starts with the o-line. Detroit is third in the NFL in average yards per play .... does anyone think it is because of Goff? No, their offensive line is one of the best, same with Cowboys, which enabled a backup QB to come in and be productive. AR & Brady aren't "washed up", so far this season they've played behind one of the worst o-lines of their careers. IF Bak & Jenkins can stay on the field and get closer to their former pro bowl level, AR will play better.
