- OL, as good as they looked last week in 1H vs Indy had no such similar stretch. They need to correct the dick-stepping.
Packers rushed for nearly 190 yards today. Without Love, that's a big reason why but this was a damn good DL they faced in 90 degree heat.
With Love back to being a true air threat and a much better QB in the red zone, this could be a hell of a balanced offense.
+++ Our Defense showed up to play. 8 sacks on Levis! X gets his 3rd INT in 3 games! Malik Willis was a great addition to this team! He's 2-0 as our starter! Our RBs ran their butts off! Jaire's Pick 6! Kraft is a BEAST! MLF is a pretty good play caller. Watson showed up! We get to listen to Bears fans whining.
---Penalties. Way too many of them and especially so, on the OL. We have to wait a week to hear vikings fans whining.

Penalty issues continue and many are just sloppy mental mistakes.
No major injuries is huge and Willis has been really poised
+ Can't say enough about Willis. Never thought they'd be 2-0 in these games.
+Gotta give props to MLF for keeping this team on point. Says a lot losing your starting QB and not shitting the bed.
+ As was posted earlier, sometimes you have to put up with the bad and the good. D was suspect at times early, but really dominated late. Props to Jaire, Van Ness, 55, Cooper, on and on. Played very aggressive when it mattered.
- Penalties. No excuse.
- Kicker. Saved his job with that last make. Hopefully a move upward long term.
- Vikings 3-0. Huge game next week. Put those mother fuckers in their place.
+Malik Willis looks like a legit QB in this league and he's backing up Love. I said last week that he'd have to do more than he did vs IND and he certainly did. His threat to run is a real factor opposing D's have to account for. As a passer he can hit a guy in a window downfield. Two steps ahead of every backup since Flynn.
+Hafley finally bringing pressure in the 4th and closing out the game.
-Is Rasheed Walker becoming a problem at LT? I wasn't able to watch closely enough to see how he did vs their pass rush, I only noticed when he was flagged again.

Malik Willis, I mostly care about the Packer W, but congrats to MW winning in Nashville. Nice to have a legitimate backup QB with a bit of talent and a lot of poise. Plus, he is fun to cheer for.
Watson. 2 excellent catches.

Wilson was very productive in the running game and on the TD catch & run.
Jaire with the aggressive, pick 6. Huge play in the game.
Wyatt/Kingsley E with two sacks each and the entire Defensive Line rushing Levis.

I don't understand Walker. He was very good down the stretch last season and fully handled Bosa in the playoffs. How could he be having so much trouble now?
Jaire made a helluva call with that gamble jumping the route. There was nobody behind him and a double move would have cooked him. I'm sure he knows what he was doing but my eyes really popped when I saw that replay from above.
Narvy is probably 75-80%. So he's gonna miss one if he's kicking several. Saw a kid miss 3 in a college game yesterday. Still feel better with him than Anders.
Positives:
The running game. Willis, AGAIN! And this time more than a single pass downfield. The front four is making the defense work. Turnovers, holy crap, did we already match the 2023 total in 3 games?
Negatives:
Penalties. Still way too many much like early 2023. Narveson still working on earning the trust of MLF and the fanbase.
Some observers watching Walker on X commented that he actually played well minus penalties. We will see what his pressure rate ended up being but let's also not forget that Jenkins also had multiple hold penalties as well.
That's a stout DL they faced in Florida-like temps.
I expect Walker and that OL to play much better next week at home.
Early peak at the forecast looks like highs 60's-low 70's and dry. Much more Packer weather.

To me they are just very different players. After what Jacobs did last week I'm sure TEN was more focused on stopping him. Take him out and TEN is likely thinking pass play more than run.
Just a great team win. To put up 30 on that defense with a backup QB was incredible. Too many positives to mention all of them, but Jeff Hafley needs special mention. When the offense started to sputter and you could feel that with another the score we had a chance to let this one get away, most DCs would have played soft zone coverage and made the Titans use clock and hope you could hold them to a FG. However, Hafley sent blitzes and played press coverage to close the game out.
Two negatives for me were Walker (are you ready to come back yet Bak?) and Musgrave, who is really hurting his chance for snaps by being afraid to block.

Jacobs had at least 1 if not 2 big runs called back by penalty.
He gets better with MORE carrries.
Tennessee focused on stopping the run up the middle and has a couple of good defensive tackles.
I'm not worried about Josh J as yet.

I am very happy to admit I was rong. Lots of folks said TN would be a test with them being good along both lines. Their DL was OK, but the GB DL shredded the TN OL. The first GB play put TN on their heels with the well-designed misdirection to Reed. Interesting to see Reed snapping at Willis on the play in the fourth quarter -- and Willis snapping right back -- I would have liked to hear that! It looked like there were no major injuries.

MLF does not get enough attention/praise for his coaching. Yes, we can gripe about how he calls a game and that he's too loyal, but Jacobs and X came to GB for a reason and I don't think it was for the bright lights and big city, especially when more money was on the table elsewhere.
Jacobs looked like the closer of the RB bunch. Get a lead with the pass, mixing in some slashes from Wilson and have Jacobs run over guys in the 4th. I know that's not what they're paying him for but that's how things currently look.

Good point on MLF. He as well as the org must have a good rep around the league. The 2 guys you mentioned toiled for bad teams with bad owners who made many a questionable deal. GB looks steady and sure and a good place to settle in.

Agreed. Maybe Jacobs only issue is our O-Line seems to not be ready to adjust for Jacobs’ incredible ability to change direction to find a hole. It felt like we had a holding call nullify 3 or 4 good runs by Jacobs. I cannot believe how quick he is to hit a hole when he sees one.
