That punt block before half is a play for bloopers. I have never seen a block of a "kick" before it even hits the punter's foot. Checking the stats I see that it was a forced fumble, recovered  by the Bears, who were then tackled on 4th down.

 

Asa for this game, I know we should just play to get it over without any injuries. But I remember the 61-7 game the Bears dropped on us under Ditka.

I could swear there was one in Chicago that was like 62-3 against the bears around Christmas or thanksgiving back in the early 80s.  Rich Campbell was our QB.  I was at our relatives in Chicago (as always) as a kid and had to sit and take it.

 

I ended up figuring it was make-up for the blocked kick return by Chester Marcol!
