Damn. That is a lot of high-caliber talent that is potentially back for the playoffs. I hope they can all play/contribute.
From packers.com:
The Green Bay Packers have placed G Lucas Patrick on the reserve/COVID-19 list and signed G Ben Braden to the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Wednesday.
Braden has been on Green Bay's practice squad and active roster for almost all of this season, playing in nine games for the Packers.
The #Packers get to put Za'Darius Smith next to Kenny Clark, with Rashan Gary edge rushing from his wing.

That leaves Dean Lowry and Preston Smith (who are both having career years) in single blocking.
With De'Vondre Campbell behind them
And Jaire, Douglas, and Stokes covering
And Savage and Amos patrolling the back end! pic.twitter.com/lMvpISndgD

Savage is the one who worries me.

Great to get Jaire back but he, Stokes and Douglas don't play in the slot, so one of them is relegated to dime package. Sullivan is the "star" slot guy.
Still see Black and King on 3rd and long. But keeping Yiadom and Jean-Charles off the field is a plus.
Sullivan is a liability. I wish they used Jaire as a Charles Woodson gadget player, trust him to blitz and what not.
I think the injury had healed.
Jaire, if he plays is the likely slot candidate.
If Savage is the weak link, that'd be quite alright by me.
I don't mind Savage as deep 1 high safety where he plays the ball pretty well, but we are playing predominately 2 shell which gives offenses the opportunity to make him get involved in the run and short pass game where his weakness in taking proper tackling angles is exploited.
Za'Darius Smith, Randall Cobb, and Ty Summers have been practicing with the Packers and could soon return to the active roster from Injured Reserve.

Unfortunately this means guys like Tipa Galeai, Juwann Winfree, and Shawn Davis could no longer have spots for them on the roster.

Yep, just remember around this time last year the Packers were signing Tramon Williams and he was looking like the best option to start across from Jaire.
Tramon Williams.

To what extent has it healed? Good enough to play but still be careful as to how you hit someone or totally heal and can play with abandonment.
This is the Packers medical staff we're talking about.

GB and this ultra conservative staff isnât going to let him play on a bum shoulder. Not happening. Reports were a key reason they wouldnât let him come back earlier was because they wanted to be sure this will NOT be a problem in 2022 and beyond.
#23 is in their future plans with a big contract extension. The Packers arenât risking this being a long term problem.
!!!!!!
@ByRyanWood: Hereâs a surprise: #Packers OLB Whitney Mercilus practiced today. Mercilus was thought to be potentially out for season after tearing biceps vs. Seattle, but an edge rush that consists of Rashan Gary and Preston Smith could add ZaâDarius Smith and Whitney Mercilus for playoffs.
Bah GawdâĶThatâs Whitney Mercilusâ music. ZaâDarius Smith continued to practice, too

That's a shocker.

Can you imagine having Mercilus back? WOW

How does that work? I'm curious as to what actually happened with his arm. Either way, excellent news.
Holy Hell !! Whitney back is huge. ðąðą
Packers don't have a sense of drama. None of this should be revealed until they suddenly appear during the second half of the playoff game.
Bicep must have not been completely torn and didn't require surgery ?? ...or that really isn't him

May have been just a bicep tendon. There are 2 in each arm. I popped one, hurt like crazy for awhile, healed some. Then had it detached during shoulder surgery. Doc said my arm would function normally at reduced strength
Trading Z and Mercilus for Garvin & Galeai would be huge!

I PRAY that Whitney can play in the Super Bowl. It's all he's playing for right now, and that would be as uplifting as the Big Dog getting to his first Super Bowl.
Man, that was definitely unexpected. Gonna have fresh legs on the pass rushers now. Is there a way to have all 4 on the field at the same time?
69 just farted on Jenkins' knee

Z inside next to Clark if his back can stand it. I'd love to Brady destroyed in the playoffs.
