From packers.com:

The Green Bay Packers have placed G Lucas Patrick on the reserve/COVID-19 list and signed G Ben Braden to the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Wednesday.

Braden has been on Green Bay's practice squad and active roster for almost all of this season, playing in nine games for the Packers.

To what extent has it healed? Good enough to play but still be careful  as to how you hit someone or totally heal and can play with abandonment.

GB and this ultra conservative staff isn’t going to let him play on a bum shoulder. Not happening. Reports were a key reason they wouldn’t let him come back earlier was because they wanted to be sure this will NOT be a problem in 2022 and beyond.

#23 is in their future plans with a big contract extension. The Packers aren’t risking this being a long term problem.

!!!!!!

@ByRyanWood: Here’s a surprise: #Packers OLB Whitney Mercilus practiced today. Mercilus was thought to be potentially out for season after tearing biceps vs. Seattle, but an edge rush that consists of Rashan Gary and Preston Smith could add Za’Darius Smith and Whitney Mercilus for playoffs.

How does that work?  I'm curious as to what actually happened with his arm.  Either way, excellent news.

I PRAY that Whitney can play in the Super Bowl. It's all he's playing for right now, and that would be as uplifting as the Big Dog getting to his first Super Bowl.
