Saw a lot of complaints about Van Ness but I didn't remember seeing him out there enough to get much of a feel on his progress but he looked really good in preseason.
He had a QB hurry a tackle and an assist in 19 snaps. Nothing to scream about but seems like about what you would expect to get.
Now if the complaint is lack of snaps the first game of your 2nd season that's a very valid one for Van Ness and Musgrave. I would expect Van Ness to start taking snaps from Smith. Get Smith down into the 40's and Van Ness into the 30's would be a good start.
Evan Williams did not even get in the game. I thought he'd play, for sure, after the camp/preseason he had. Van Ness also needs to be on the field more. Enagbare played more snaps than Van Ness did.
