Finally, a message was sent that the team will not tolerate not owning up to your mistakes and any insubordination. If you eff up -- and everyone does -- own up. Hopefully, the guys on the team now realize that "Packer for life" is earned, not just bestowed with a signature on a contract. It's a tryout every week for playing time and a roster spot.

At least I hope this is the message being sent...

“Packer for life” is nonsense. Players are about earning money first and foremost. As much as they can.

You have to sort through the players that have worked and will do for the franchise because they personally want a ring. Then build around that.

Daniels. Bak. Martinez. Perry, Clark, Adams, Linsley.  Cobb.

They want a ring. They don’t want to start over. They aren’t doing this to watch Ty go rouge or Ha Ha protect himself.

Let me clarify. I didn't mean the players necessarily wanted to be "Packer for Life," but it was more of a coaching/GM "better to keep the known rather than risk the unknown." So they paid to keep guys that were easily replaceable. How else do you explain Janis!, Hawk, Bush and some of the other hangers-on we all complained about? Year after year they were still taking a roster spot even though they were mediocre. That's what I meant by "Packer for Life."

I admit it was clumsy, but I am whipping this out at work.

Hey Cool, you can still see Ty at Lambeau Field on Nov 1st!

I love me some Gute

He seems more Wolf than TT and that’s fine with me

The only issue is Murphy’s ****ed up reporting structure but that will level out at some point as well.

When I think “Packer for life” I think of guys like Butler and Henderson and Freeman.  And 12.  But money talks and bullshit walks.

If I were Cobb and CMIII and Daniels and even Jimmy I would be concerned.  Very concerned.  Unlike Adams and Linsley and Rodgers and Bak they have not lived up to their contracts.  Better watch your asses.

Ha Ha was done the minute he flapped his gums.  Nicely done in a contract year dipshit.  His agent must have an IQ of 4

Yeah, okay.

Daniels and Clark were better than Suh and Donald Sunday.

Clark was Donald. Daniels was better than Suh.

And please explain the Linsley love. What were you watching?

Daniels 4 years 41 million for what?

Suh has been a better player over that time.  He’s a d bag for sure, but in his career Daniels is more bark than bite.

He’s an above average player that was paid to play at a high to elite level.  That has not happened.  The good news is he talks a good game.

Clark has elevated his game and become the player we thought Daniels would be.

Saw that earlier, GD. Good explanation that we don't know what we don't know until someone points it out. Daniels has been eating blocks to allow Clark and others to shine. Dirty work, but nothing better for a former wrestler!

That might be the dumbest thing that's been ever written on this board.

Where was that guy last Sunday?

Dang. Beat me to it.

That clip also shows that Montgomery was prone to plays of stupidity. Five yards deep and he wants to bring it out after backpedaling four yards.

Nope.  Not even close.  You clearly haven't visited the Vikings Suck thread.

Yes, the date on the tweet is October 16th.

Gutekunst also said it “isn’t enough” to have two running backs on the 53. Not long after, the Packers announced running back Tra Carson was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster, and running back Lavon Coleman was signed to the practice squad.

Just dumb. Momentum alone makes that an easy touchback.

I say roll with Jones and Williams and let Cobb be the emergency 3rd RB for now. They also briefly used Devonte Adams in that role. Not that I want to see him lining up there again but they could probably give one of the rookies a few reps in practice just in case.

If jones and Williams go down. Just abandon the run and be creative with AR12 and the stable of WRs

Good point. It happens almost every week with all the RB's healthy as it is.

Except the creative part

Montgomery tackled by his own teammate when he tries to bring out a kickoff in the 2012 Fiesta Bowl.

The night Andrew Luck put Ty on everyone’s radar. Ty was ****ing unstoppable at WR in that game. 7 for 120 and a 53 yard TD.

Kinda surprised Indy didn’t offer better than Baltimore for Ty. Luck ****ing loved Montgomery.

I watched this entire game and I remember my takeaway was that this freshman kid just swiped Zach Ertz’ stage.

Ty had to go. He did.

But he’d been pushed to RB because Lacy couldn’t stop eating Taco Bell then had to watch flyers like Christine Michaels take snaps before GB drafted more RBs and WRs while his role became whatever. He really did get completely ****ed by GB when you get right down to it

Clinton Dix is going to suck in Washington. Because he sucks. Ty might end up being a great signing. Baltimore is going to make him a WR.

It was China Food, not Taco Bell.

Well, the Packers traded "WR Ty Montgomery", so it would make sense that BAL play him at WR.
