Have at it gang...

“Well, Grant,” Sherman asked him, “we’ve had the devil’s own day, haven’t we?”
“Yes,” Grant replied. “Lick ’em tomorrow, though.”
This team lacks the horses to really compete at the highest level. That's on the GM. The "youngest team in the league" bullshit is his participation trophy.
+ No give up with this team.
- not taking the points
- fanthom call on cooper cost us 3 points.
Darnold had time to knit a sweater half the time. Love was back footin it the first half

That would've been the score if they won 🤣 because they miss the 2 pt conversion.
🤷🏻
I guess there isn't any reason to show up in the playoffs. Might as well just forfeit in the first playoff game.
Can't beat a good team obviously.
Just not good enough.
Why play the games??

Soft D.
MLF playcalling.
The entire OL (associated with MLF)
+ Game wasn't that important all things considered, minor seeding considerations.
- Real mistake was kicking that first field goal instead of going for it.
This team can win a lot of games with it's WR by committee. But when a good D and one poorly timed injury can shut it down, you may need to reconsider finding a true WR1.
The most glaring difference I saw in H1 was spotless Darnold pitching and catching to a slew of open guys while Love was constantly under duress and struggling to connect with his guys who always had a defender in their back pocket.
Some of that is OL/DL but it's also very clearly the receivers. They don't seem to have that one guy you can go to when absolutely need a first down. I could not believe they couldn't find one play on 3rd or 4th and 4 to convert on that series in the Q2.
Boris , they aren't good enough. 0-5 in statement games.
Not saying it would have changed the result, but missing Christian Watson really hurts this team’s passing attack. Teams have to devote two players on him when he goes deep, else they lose more often then not. His presence opens up the field for everybody else.

First half offense (Love needs to play better)
Overall just another very disappointing loss against a good team.
-
Career high yards for Darnold. Defense really had no answer for the Minnesota offense all day.
At some point they are what they are under MLF. A solid team but nothing spectacular. Despite getting really good QB play.
This team might win a playoff game but they are not beating Philly or Minnesota or Detroit. Not this year.
+ the volume of the horn is way less than it used to be.

If losing one guy, who has always been inconsistent, tanks the rest of your passing offense - even with a near dominant RB - then there is a bigger problem at hand.
Jacobs opening fumble really dampened what might have been an opening score. They were having a nice opening drive.
The shortcomings of this defense really hasn’t changed. They have no true pass rusher (aka a Clay Matthews) and the talent at CB isn’t good enough when playing teams like this.
And once again, Reed and Kraft aren’t nearly as featured as they need to be. Way too talented to be role players in this offense
Well, now it’ll be more fun watching the queens lay an egg in the playoffs.
Still haven't beaten anyone with a better record than them. Have only beaten one team this year with a winning record at all. Team is bottom feeding its way into the playoffs.
If you play zone you need a pass rush. They don't have a pass rush. Darnold doing his best Tom Brady impersonation today. J.Love couldn't hit the broad side of a barn until garbage time.
This team is going nowhere in the playoffs.
Pass rush sucked.
Love has to play better.
See you in the playoffs fuckers.
All good.
Not having Jaire Alexander certainly hurt them
It's abundantly clear that the Packers just don't have enough to big dogs to run with the lead pack.
Whatever the reason(s), and there could be dozens of them, they always break down in the trenches against the upper echelon of teams.
Tom getting his ass kicked?
McKinney being abused?
WTF is up with that?

They should have Watson run a deep route every play. He can take the top off of the defense and free things up for the other receivers.
Just don’t throw it to him or he’ll fall apart again.
- going deep to a double covered wr on 3rd and short.
- Vikings OL has been beat up and patchwork for the 2nd half of the season...and they looked like the 1992 Cowboys out there with the protection they gave Captain Ginger Pube Beard
Every team this time of year has injuries. That’s not an excuse. Hell, 80% of the lions’ defense is injured. Good teams overcome those. We’re an OK team.
+ Cooper
- everything and everyone else

Without looking at any other posts yet, and being fair, the stable was depleted today.

He’s been a non factor for two years now. Time to trade his ass, he’s stealing paychecks.
+ bears still suck
The frustrating thing is our pass rush squeezed the pocket a lot today. Just misses the next gear to get home. They were close often while Darnold still had the ball. They desperately need that one guy you can rely on getting home or drawing doubles so other guys can win. Someone like a Miles Garrett.
@Pakrz posted:It's actually a beautiful thing. GB can beat anybody in the league at any given moment. Or they can lay a fucking egg.
Packers didn't lay an egg. They were beat by a better team today.
We all collectively chortled at MIN this offseason thinking they'd be the division doormats this year, especially considering their QB situation. Hate to say it but as long as they keep Darnold clean they have a legit shot this year.
I just hope someone like PHI's DL can finally turn Darnold into a pumpkin.
MLF in his postgame presser touched on something Brady alluded to during the broadcast. If you know that the defense is in a coverage that is going to make it almost impossible to go long, but that is supposed to be your primary read, make the check down your number one read. MLF seemed unhappy with Jordan that he didn't do that more today.
- The Packers just do not have that receiver who can consistently snatch ant throw in his catch radius.
The Vikings made a half dozen catches that the Packers receivers don’t seem to get often enough, AKA the fourth down pass to Wicks.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t dislike any of the Packers receivers. They all have talents and strengths, they just don’t have anybody who is exceptional at bailing out the QB.

We need to draft a pass rusher high in the draft this year, but I don’t trust Gute’s ability to find one. Or a CB. Rather than wasting more high picks on defense, we need to move up in the first round to get a true #1 receiver and right behind that, another O-lineman. Get a corner and pass rusher in free agency. Use the picks we get for trading Alexander to help with all that.
