+ The only way to work off the rust was for Jordan Love to get out there and play.  He clearly needs some work but at least he made it through the game without re-aggravating the injury.

+ Jayden Reed is terrific

- Everything else. Poor performances by 95% of the team doomed this game from the start.

- Love was rusty and his decision-making has been poor in his first 2 starts of the season.  Let’s hope that gets better because if the Packers ever want to be an elite team, they need a QB making better decisions and more accurate throws than he’s shown his first 2 starts of 2024.

- Defensive front 7 was poor for a good 3/4 of the game.  Disappointing with 5 #1 draft picks in that unit.

- Narveson

- injuries

No pass rush has been the bug a boo for years. 8 sacks last week but it wasn't like they were applying heat right out of the gate. IMHO the best pass defense is pressure on the QB. With JA out they should have brought the heat early and often.

Seen this movie before. Dick steppin and too many penalties. It's the 4th freakin week and they still can't line up correctly. This isn't rocket surgery. You learned not to line up offside in PEE WEE league! Winning those to games against shitty teams masked all that's wrong with this team.

--- Glass Watson hurt again. How many games will he miss this time?

- - - Narveson.  Bring back Anders or Mason

- - - -  I know we were behind but 54 passes and 19 rushes.  I thought LaFluer wanted to be 50 50. or close.

+ + +  Defense played hard in 2nd half when it looked hopeless.

+ + + TE finally involved in the passing game.

+ + + Reed.

No pass rush.

Big holes in secondary w/o JA.

Wicks dropping what 3? critical first half balls that hit him square on his hands and body.  Glass Joe Watson out again.

Dum deep ball to the EZ on first down after getting the ball back from a defensieve stand in the 4thQ.  Looked like a F'it ball from 10.  I turned to the bares game after that.

D coming up with some big plays to get the mo turned around deep in a hole but Damold just had way too much comfort sitting in the pocket today.

Team's got some more developing to do and they'd better get on it.  Not bad at 2-2 but MIN will start walking away with the division if their D and OL keep it up.

+ Beautiful weather here. Game not on TV. Got stuff done and didn't use up my phone battery listening to it on XM.

- Had a bad feeling about this game. Rusty Love, no JA and a shaky kicker. It would have better if they had lost to the Titans and hadn't thought they were better than they were.

-This team really pisses me off when the play like a JV team. It's one thing to get beat by a better team but the penalties ,dropped passes and missed kicks. That's preparation and that's on the coaches as well as the players.

- Vikings were supposed to suck this year!

Cons

MLF terrible offensive game strategy.  Where was all the motion he had designed the last couple weeks?  He could have incorporated some play action fakes and passes.

Love was rusty and without Love playing the last two weeks, so were the WRs and O-Line.

Defense... how bad were they in first half?  Stokes got burned a few times.

The overturned reviews.  The first 3 were arguably reviewed wrong.

Musgrave has been almost a non-factor.

Crowd had to sit through an embarrassing first half

Our 2-million-dollar S/T coach can't fix any of the kickers.

Kraft's fumble... how come Packers defenders don't punch out the ball?

Pros

Several big plays by WRs.  Wicks made good on some grabs.

Jayden Reed gonna be all-pro one day

Despite some bad throws...Love had some fabulous throws too.

Cooper gonna be good.

Crowd got see an exciting second half.

As someone who was there, I offer this.

β€”love was missing open guys all game. Pretty bad. I’ll check it on the all-22 but I recall on many key pass incompletions there were guys wide open for shorter yardage. He wasn’t seeing them.

β€”The DC was a fool not to blitz Darnold. This is more important with two vital CBS missing.

β€”Vikings rookie kicker seemed to have no issues with the swirling wind.

β€”could not believe how bad the refs were on the reviews. Even a Viking fan near us thought they were ridiculous

+ There is no better setting for a football game than Lambeau Field in late September. Maybe the best venue for a sporting event anywhere, any time. I am thankful I was there today.

++ McKinney. Not a workout warrior/RAS stud, just a very good defensive football player -- unlike so many of highly drafted Packer picks.

- 3rd and 14 on the first drive of the game, crowd in a frenzy, and the Packers rush 4 and give up an easy pitch and catch first down to the opposition. This is year 14 of watching the same old crap and it has gotten old. The D sucked arse in the first half. You have no grace period Hafley, sorry.

--- Don't let the box score fool you, Jordan Love was bad, like real bad for most of the game. I hope he shakes off the rust, but I won't sugar coat it, he sucked today when the outcome was in question. He is paid WAY TOO MUCH $$ to play like a shlub.

---- If anybody has spotted Gary, Clark, or Van Ness as 1st round difference makers, please post videos. The first two have been (over) paid and the last one is the latest rendition of "just be patient, he is about to produce" Packer propoganda. So sad seeing the D disappoint year after year after year.

---- Aa\ blind squirrel could have predicted #44 would suck today. The Vikes have a 6th round kicker who looks like the real deal. Swallow the pride Gutey, admit you F'ed up and move on ... tomorrow.

----- The NFC is weak and wide open. Sadly, the Packers do not (as yet) look like a squad who can take advantage of that reality.

Starting 0-2 in the Conference is not a good look, leaves little room for error the rest of the way.

Not sure it’s a positive or negative, but for whatever reason when the Vikings play at Lambeau earlier in the season they give us problems.

In addition, before anyone crowns their asses, I would recommend you go back over the last 30 years or so with that team.  Plenty of examples of the Queens starting off with some gaudy record and then face planting when it matters.

As it is, the Packers are a couple of missed FGs away from being 4-0 themselves.   Let’s see where this team is in another month or so.

One last thing - for all the bitching about how overrated Jaire Alexander is we sure could have used him today.  No way Minnesota and Darnold has this type of day if 23 is in there.
