Starks
Nelson with a nice catch
Burnett turning around from the first half.

Should have shut Scam down, we didn't

Listen, here's the thing. First of all, the Packers ALWAYS start slow, and win ugly. That's just the way it is. Second of all, Collins and Williams were hurt. Give this team time and we will be back to dominating in a matter of weeks. Be patient, we have ten rookies on this team. We'll be fine. The fact that they didn't give up after such a horrid start says a lot about this group.

--Positives

Defense forced 4 turnovers, had four sacks and bent but didn't break

Bishop is a stud on defense to go with our other stars

Great play calls by McCarthy on the last drive (Nelson TD)

We got a tough road win and are now 2-0

No special teams errors

--Negatives

Finley disappeared in the 2nd half

Collins injury-God bless him-hope he's okay

Pass defense got picked apart--again

O-line penalties
They seemed to learn what it's going to be like all year for them - every team they play is going to have their asses on fire and throw the kitchen sink at them. We as fans haven't seen that since 1997, and I forgot what that really meant again until today. It's a meat-grinder. That was CAR's Super Bowl. Next week CHI is going to go insane trying to beat GB. Even the dregs are going to give them a fight for most of the game - that's their chance to knock off the champs.

I'm not sure whether that's a positive or not yet, but I'm just glad they played like crap and won the game. MIN and CHI can't say that.

Takeaway defense continues to feast on mistakes even with the INTs that were dropped.
D comes through in the end with the late game goal line stand ending in the Matthews sack
Ballsy call by MM to go for the TD out of the obvious running formation.
Starks
Woodsen
Bush on D
People staying in their lanes covering kickoffs

Early weaknesses
Pass D (We miss Tramon)
Holding penalties!
Too Much Cam love
Cobb fumble (second one he had better ball security)
Missed tackles a problem again
Collins injury
Rodgers inaccuracy in the second quarter
Jones with another drop

I dont know about that according to Jim Mora he had a fumble for the cowboys last week. He might be busy...

That's nothing...Phillip Daniels played for both the Vikings and the Chargers last week according to Jim.
Pitts & Mora 2 tools in 1!!! Are they BOTH sleeping at Cam's house? What does Cam's mom think of this arrangement if its so? The man love for Cam by these two ???? (I don't know what they are) was so disgusting that I watch a PACKER game with the sound off for the 1st time since 1964. Large neg.

+ thePACK won. and the O didn't bring their A game.
I was looking for a Packers radio stream early. I came very, very close to just paying for the NFL.com radio subscription and using a delay to sync it with the TV action. Mora is just unbearable, but I have to admit it was a bit funny hearing him talk about Troy Aikman's costly fumble last week and contradicting himself on what he liked and disliked about Carolina's play calling.

A win
Jennings A bit of an off-day receiving wise, but great hustle and effort on the block for Jordy.
Starks 9 carries for 85 yards. Gotta feed him the ball more.
Defensive takeways (Woodson) four is a good day's work and three by Charles is outstanding
ST Other than the Cobb fumble no real breakdowns
Red zone defense Six trips by Carolina and only two TDs

_

Offensive penalties (false starts/holding)
Defense No consistent pass rush, coverage and tackling were both generally poor.
Offense Poor red zone production with way too many FGs.
Bulaga - 2 holding calls
Clifton - 1 holding call
Sitton - 1 holding call
Charles Johnson is a beast

I agree with Reagenz this should have been a blowout with all the turnovers but between all the penalties and Rodgers seemed to be just a touch wound up today on passes caused GB to stop themselves.

Newtons balls must be shiny clean after all the ball washing today.Running QB's always give GB fits.Newton looks like he could be a top QB one day if he is able to stay healthy.

The dump off passes hurt GB bad today. The defense was able to make some changes to take Carolin's TE's out of the game after the first Qtr.

GB WON Thats the important thing.

Collins waving on the ride off the feild gives some hope he will be back after a game or two.

Morgan Burnett is getting better each week.
+++

Offense played about as poorly as I would expect them to play and they still put up 30.

And won. After an atrocious start.

Starks - he needs to be the guy, with Grant being an amazing 3rd down back.

Woodson - duh.

Run D is amazing.

Burnett came back and played really well after an ugly start.

---

9 pts off of 4 turnovers. Not gonna cut it. Any one of those FGs is a TD and the game is not in question.

Pass D - simply atrocious. Again. Feels like 2009 all over again. Dom needs to earn his paycheck this week. TEs open all day.

Packers WRs - Sure seemed like they couldn't get open for most of the game.
Positives:

+ Woodson - has a chance to be NFL Defensive Player of the week.
+ Starks - He is really really good. He may not be an elite runner, but he's in the next group.
+ Pack brought their C game today not even an A or B effort, and still won a road game.

Negatives:

- Not enough pass rush push from the D-Line.
- Injuries to Pickett and Collins. Hopefully nothing serious. I heard about the Pickett one on the radio.
- Offense tried to get a little too cute at times with the back shoulder throw crap. If you're going to do it, make sure QB and receiver are on same page otherwise it's a wasted play. Would have liked to have seen less looking so far downfield for passes and more short quick passes hitting guys on the run. That said, the 2 big downfield passes were the difference in the game.
- Holding penalties on the O-Line.
++

They won
C-Wood
Starks and Grant running the ball
CMIII and Raji made a lot of plays

--

Pass defense, UGH
Red zone offense
Drops by Jennings
OL penalties

Carolina certainly came into this game fired up, and the Packers looked lethargic for a good portion of the first half. They played much better the second half of the game, but against better teams an effort like this could mean trouble.

Need to get Tramon and Collins back because the Panthers went after their backups quite a bit.
- According to Rotoworld, Donald driver was targeted 8 times but caught just one ball for 10 yards. Rodgers also had a low completion percentage going his way in week one. I am happy that he got the record, but they really need to get Jones and Cobb more looks at Driver's expense.

+ Who is better than Driver at recovering the onside kick?

Amen sister. Good teams find ways to win. And that's just what GB did. CMIII and Woddy had very nice games.

Crosby was clutch when you needed him to.
