The defense, again. Can we really expect to give up six million yards and keep winning?

Listening on radio while Wayne and Larry did not hold back on their hatred for the Lions. "Dirtbags" and "low-lifes" were among the words used on the air.
Love Wayne and Larry. They tell it like it is without the false love or wishy-washy tone of other guys.

It's happened twice in four chances this year. Two of them (Vikings, Rams) had no chance, while the two teams of quality pretty much did what they wanted on offense. Why wouldn't it be a theme?
Positive:
M3 has a great offensive mind/great coach
Sweep Division
too much too list
Negative:
M3 will not win coach of the year
I guess AR12 is nothing more than a sytem QB

Jared Allen half a sack short of the record. Favre's flop is just the gift that keeps on giving.

maybe because our 2 playmakers on D weren't playing today?

The presence of Matthews and Woodson might have prevented one of the five TDs Detroit scored. Maybe. Let's get our heads out of the sand.
Not only would have Woody/CM3 presense stop one score it would have resulted in one more packer TD as Woody wouldn't have dropped/missed the pick 6 that Bush did (recall Lions scored one play later)
Woodson has dropped more than one this year.

yep...you always will learn the hard way I guess.
Happened to me, too, so, I make sure I do it myself now. However, on my DVR, it always asks if I want to extend it a half-hour (only does it for sports programming).
I'll still have sex with her, though.
Missed the game, but it sounds like no one left the field limping? Queens were on and urlacher had a grusome looking injury. Hopefully not as bad as it looked

I am not excited to see Flynn. He hasn't done squat when he did go in this year.I do not expect Rodgers to play the entire game, and Flynn is a huge drop off, IMO. I do not think the Packers will win with Flynn behind center. Flynn makes poor decisions and will likely throw a pick six. Flynn will probably not get a starting job next year either.

I can't disagree, but one team had months to game plan for them (along with those sporty voluntary workouts) and the other was playing the JV's. I don't think GB will win a 13-6 playoff game. As long as that unbelievable offense is on, they'll never come close to having to. Hold the other team under 30 and you win. IMHO this offense is THAT good.

Dan Patrick made a veiled comment about that tonight on NBC's pre-game show. I got a good laugh out of it.
Negatives:
- Flynn with 6 TDs gives Skip Bayless more ammo to trash Rodgers for being nothing but a "System QB".
- Merrill Hoge will still find some reason to bash the Packers defense despite no Woody or Matthews.
- I just hope that after the events of today, Rodgers still gets the MVP even though it's not the end of the world if he doesn't. A co-MVP between he and Brees would be okay with me, but he definitely deserves to have league MVP in front of his name.
Positives:
+ Skip Bayless trashing Rodgers will probably motivate Rodgers to throw for maybe 8 TDs against the poor bunch of suckers that are sacrificed to the gods of Lambeau in a couple of weeks.
+ Seemed to come out of this game injury free.
+ 15-1. This is the best regular season a Packer team has ever had. What a ride.

I thought Brian Brohm played a helluva game today.
Me too.
+ Suh mocking "The Belt" on a day his team allows the backup QB to throw 6 TD's.
+ Getting Clifton back.
+ Forcing turnovers.
- Zebras were awful today.
- No Packer game next week.

- GB has won 21 in a row at home over Lions, tying an NFL record.
- GB swept division for first time in 45 years of Central/North play.
- GB has won 17 of last 18 regular-season finales.
- GB is in playoffs for 14th time since 1993, most of any team.

During the game there was a comment about team interceptions and needing one more to set a new record. Did Shields late INT set a new record?

This may be the most impressive stat given the playoff drought the Packers went through between Lombardi and Holmgren.
I like this because it simplifies things.quote:As long as that unbelievable offense is on, they'll never come close to having to. Hold the other team under 30 and you win. IMHO this offense is THAT good.
The success of the Packers depends more on the performance of the offensive line than anything else. The only thing that can stop the Packers is getting battered on the LoS when the Packers have the ball.
I'm Sure it will be on NFL Replay.
One problem with MM is that he has no NFL Central titles.

Help me understand.
The snow couldn't wait for you to watch the game live?
Were you afraid it was going to melt?
Tied the team record for INTerceptions at 31.
No chance of the snow melting on New Years Day.
I dont like to watch commercials so I start watching the DVR'd game late in the 2nd qtr and usually end up watching the end of the game live while accomplishing something in that hour or so time period.
Yet there are always distractions to deal with like babysitting a grandchild and their new puppy they got for Christmas which dealt a blow to my usual schedule. It does take patience to not watch the beginning of the game live as most of us Packer fans can hardly wait till gametime.
I have learned from this experience though , I will check the settings when someone else sets the DVR from now on.
Grandchild and puppy are on their way home so I get some peace and quiet till the Wife gets back.

I always Tivo Badger games and start the game an hour after kick-off----you're right, it let's you get more done. Actually did it today with the Gator Bowl and just got to "real time".
Just can't bring myself to do it for a Packer game----I like to check out the bed-wetters in the game thread too much.

Wow a tribute to Al Harris maybe.
Thats just shy of 2 a game and is probably the only "good stat' this defense has.
GB's defense needs to keep that pace up throughout the playoffs. If I recall they did not have any INT's in the KC game.
Stafford did make some nice throws yesterday. There were a couple that Bush was close to picking off and Woodson probably would have sealed the deal.
Bush has good value for the Packers but playing the whole game in the secondary is not the best thing for the Packer defense

I find that the Packer game itself is enough entertainment so I stay off the innerweb during game time.
I find myself online after the game to get a good laugh. Its like when I watch a game with Dad and head home afterwards listening to WBBM out of Chicago laughing all the way home listening to Bear fans whining and whining and .....
In reality we want more after the game and try to fill that void online, sometimes we may be fullfilled and other times not so much.
The thing is a week is a long time to wait for the next game and the Packers success this year leaves us with a two week void that will have to be filled by watching other teams play and checking online for nuggets of info
I will say that TimesFour is #1 on the list not so much for the bedwetters but the overall quality of the Forum. The bedwetters are just a perk.

Snow women boobies don't build themselves, ya know.
Thats almost as cold as a witch's tit.
