WOW! Is Right!

I was suprised to see this. Figured he would lay-low after his son's accident. He must have been very good at "moving on" so soon.

And too, maybe his family felt it was best to get away from the surroundings and memories in Green Bay so they wouldnt be haunted by the tragedy.

Good for him. And at least he went to the AFC.

Now it makes our Packers off-season even more interesting.

What? Does he have to get ready for a game next weekend?

Makes sense if he doesn't get the TB job. IMO, he'd do a good job as OC.
Bravo Joe for this!!! but now chad "ya doesn't hafta call me ocho" johnson will probably pout and disappear... poor child.

Chad Johnson has been silenced.

After receiving a stern warning from new Miami Dolphins coach Joe Philbin for his outspoken manner, Johnson walked past reporters saying only, "I don't do media anymore," according to a report in the Miami Herald.

The eccentric Johnson , who signed with the Dolphins in June, made waves for comments at a press conference last week along with his actions on Tuesday night's premiere show of 'Hard Knocks.'

Johnson recently said "it felt good to breathe again," then uttered numerous curse words at the press conference.

While he was mum with reporters, Johnson did have a two-word message Wednesday for his more than 3.6 million followers on Twitter saying, "Stupid Focused."

Philpin hinted on Tuesday night's show that if Johnson is unable to change his ways the six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver may not last long with the Dolphins.

"Time will tell," Philbin responded, when asked if Johnson has gotten the message. "I expressed to Chad, that you're in a position to influence people. Use it as a positive.

"There's a right way to kind of represent this organization and yourself, and a way that's not going to be us," he added.

He should have come back with "Who do you think I am, Travis Henry? Just trying to be responsible baby."

She's not exactly a paragon of virtue either. She dug in to Antoine Walker and reality TV already. What did Snoop say about gals like that again? Wink

Who bet the over on the 6-month line on that marriage anyeway?
ChadOcho's trip to Miami was all a contrived ratings grab - they convinced Philbin to take him on with the understanding that he could then cut him in front of the cameras- making for "interesting TV'

Just more examples of the TV tail wagging the football dog

"HBO’s “Hard Knocks” was fortunate the Dolphins added colorful character Chad Johnson a couple weeks after Miami was chosen for the show. Johnson was featured prominently during the 2009 “Hard Knocks,” which chronicled the Bengals.

“I’m glad they signed Chad because it’s good television,” said NFL Films’ Ken Rodgers, who is producing his fifth “Hard Knocks,” prior to Johnson’s arrest on Aug. 11 on domestic violence charges. “In Cincinnati, he was a lovable goofball. We are interested much more in Chad’s football story than we were in Cincinnati. He’s got an A-list story line as far as trying to resurrect his career. He doesn’t have too many chances left.”

Ratings for HBO's Hard Knocks tonight will be sky high with footage of Joe Philbin meeting with and releasing @ochocinco.

I hear Hard Knocks tonight will have footage of Philbin meeting with and releasing Chad Johnson

@NFLFilms
Episode 2 of #HardKnocks airs tonight at 10pm on HBO. We're currently in the final edit here at NFL Films. Very dramatic episode.
I just saw Chad get canned on Hard Knocks. He can be a chucklehead but was contrite and took it like a man. Good for you Joe, tough call but probably for the best.

On a lighter, err, side note, looks like Mike Sherman is eating well...
This must stir up some dark memories from when Philbin's son assaulted two females. This must be a difficult time for him and I pray he can cope with his emotions especially with his son's death being quite recent.
