- Jordan Love choked and it tarnishes his recent run. That final pass was just stupid, especially with time and time outs left..

- Anders Carlson

- Pissing away interceptions. If the Packers simply catch theirs, they win. The Niners caught their two opportunities. Limiting mistakes is so important, but so is taking advantage of the opponent's.

+/- Darnell Savage did make a number of plays, but missed almost as many.

+ Preston gave Trent Williams as much as anyone has, but - Williams is a beast and it was't enough.

- Van Ness has no bend whatsoever. It's bull rush or bust. Gutekunst has a type.

+ Campbell and Walker mostly played well - except the final McCaffrey TD

- The talent at DB is lacking.

+ D-Line depth is pretty good.

+ I'm not the biggest Rasheed fan, but after Tom went out we were this close to seeing Royce Newman in the game until he came out of the tent.

- I came into the game not overly invested in the outcome, but ended up pissed as hell.

+ youngest team in the NFL played well enough for 50 minutes to get into the NFC Championship Game as a seven seed.

- the Packers sucked in every facet of the game the last ten minutes when it mattered most. Had the ball up by a touchdown when another score could have ended a Ninerโ€™s season, a team that was 0-30 when entering the 4th by 5 points down or more.

- Joe Barry soft defense as usual, and poor tackling. He can GTFO.

- terrible game from a guy that hardly played up to his name sake. Savage dropped a gimme pick six, and missed tackles all over.

- terrible clock management by LaFleur. Nothing new there.

- it was just a matter of time until our kicker cost us dearly. And his guh was the difference between needing a field goal at the end of the game to win, and needing a touchdown to not lose. I donโ€™t care how big his leg is if he canโ€™t put the ball through the uprights. Just too many missed kicks. His accuracy between 40 and 50 sucks.

- for all the great things Love has done the last two months, he flat out stunk the last quarter of the game. At least two bad throws behind his receivers, and an awful decision to end the game.

- same shit, different year. The Packers find new and exciting ways to break our hearts. Iโ€™m sure there will be lots of โ€œthey were the youngest team in the NFL, and made it farther than anyone expected.โ€ Lots of moral victory spinning. The truth is that team played well enough where they should have won, and like every team since 2010, they found a way to blow it when it was right there for them.

I donโ€™t feel in the mood for rose colored glasses tonight. I just donโ€™t.

+ great season that few, if any of us suspected

+ went toe to toe with best team in NFC

+ Despite last pass, Love proved he is the real deal and this team's future is bright.

- Carlson.  Missed more kicks than anyone in NFL this season.  Don't understand MLF'S faith in him.

- missed ints that could have put this game away

-Savage was awful. Missed int and several tackles, including the McCaffery TD. Never wraps up when tackling.

- clock management in last 2 mins.

Positives

1. Aaron Jones was a difference maker

2. Jaire Alexander shut down another good WR

3. Whelan saved a FG with a good hold on a bad snap

4. This will be unpopular, but Joe Barry called a good game against a stacked offensive skill position team. If Savage is even semi-competent, they probably win.

5. Jordan Love played like 2009-2012 Aaron Rodgers for three quarters.

5. Thought MLF schemed well against a very good defensive team

Negatives

1. Savage. I hope that is the last we ever see of him in a Packer jersey. He made one play in 5 years. Runs a 4.3, but one of those looks like Tarzan plays like Jane guys.

2. Jordan Love became senior year Utah State Jordan Love or post-Holmgren Favre. I don't think it's an overreaction to say that last pass negated a lot of the growth he made over the last two months. One of the worst decisions you'll ever see given the down and circumstances. It might save the Packers some serious money, though. He probably cost himself 10 million more a year with that throw, because it reinforced what his weaknesses were coming out of college.

3. Carlson. Not ready for prime time. Maybe never will be.

4. Hardly any penalties.

Agree with most of this, except that they have talent at DB, just not safety.

Trading Douglas for a mid-round pick mid-season probably came back to haunt them.

Right and who is there? The best MLB in the last decade. With Dre Greenlaw

Except that the two interceptions had nothing to do with how good their LBs are.

He missed a wide open Jones for what would have been a conversion, threw a terrible pass to Kraft over his head when he was wide open, and then Favre'd the last play. They are really good, but Love failed to make easy throws and showed why teams passed on him at the top of the first round. Maybe he grows out of the Favre stuff, but it's been a problem for him for five years if you count gong back to college.

Love was 9-16, 33 yards with 2 INTs on throws in the middle of the field.

Once again, you leave out the other half of the story. Outside the middle, where SF Was at their weakest, he had a triple QB rating 2 TDs and no picks. The play calls were fine, he just shouldnโ€™t have been left in the position he was to the end the game. Carlson shit the bed, Gary no where to be found.

Sucks to lose but so happy not facing another offseason of "will he or won't he come back?" Our future looks bright with the 10 crew.

No shit.  If the biggest drama of the offseason is missing a few opportunites in the divisional round of the playoffs as the 7th seed and youngest team ever to make it there against the 1st seed with 7 All-Pros on its roster, then I think we're doing pretty good.
