The Packer D knows this from experience.

Yup.
As for Cobb being a cap casualty. I expect they'll pay Adams, and structure his deal to where it is cap friendly year 1 - he's young. They'll also likely restructure Cobb and Nelson by adding year(s) and spreading new cash in a signing bonus mode. The players get mo' money, mo' money, and the Packers continue to handle the cap while keeping their core.

Oh no, I like Cobb a lot been a âpros proâ since coming into the league. Just really confused as to what he was thinking seeing there.
Maybe not the right place but they did play obviously much better football credit but itâs these âlittleâ things that are still popping up that keeps them from taking the next step without AR12. Defensively there are far too many âbigâ things (tackling confusion out of position and finally injury).
On that Cobb play - I'm sure he felt physically ill when he saw the tape. That's a huge play if Cobb does his job.
I was surprised how quickly so many ripped McCarthy in the game thread. It's clear that it was the perfect call at that time. Cobb just failed to execute.
As for Cobb's future, I would prefer to see him restructure his deal. He's still a valuable member of the team, especially given his chemistry with Rodgers.
I was happy with the Packers' performance. Hundley played his best game, Williams looked great, and Martinez was a beast. The team came to play.
I know the loss hurts, but let's be honest, no one saw them competing in that game. We took one of the top-3 teams in the league down to the wire, and had a great chance to pull off the upset. Credit to McCarthy for having them ready.
I'm firmly in the "Dom needs to go" camp, but I'm not going to blame him for that game. We played against an offense with arguably the top trio in game. You know that those guys are going to put up some numbers up against every defense in the league.
IF that Packers team shows up the next two weeks, we'll win both. And if that happens, things could get interesting down the stretch.

Speaking of Jordy....what's the deal, is he open and does not get targeted or is he having difficulty getting open? If he is open why relatively few throws are going his way?
He has 38 catches for the year, 64 targets. Not much production for 10 games by his standard. He is due.

But it looks like 73 and 69 missed their blocks. If they even get a standoff Cobb probably gets the 1st down. But 73 isn't even touching his guy and 69 is laying on the ground, not blocking anybody.
Steelers MO so far this year is their playing to the level of their competition. I'm guessing that had something to do with them being down 7 half way through the 3rd. Tons of talent on that team. I admire the spirit out of our guys as the underdog, they pretty much left it all on the field. But I wouldn't use that game as a barometer for "should" beating any other team.

Thatâs the point with trying to cut inside it never should have happened.
But if they had made their blocks which it may have looked like to Cobb in that split second he made his cut, the 1st down would have been made. To Cobb it may have looked better or easier to get that yard inside rather than go all the way around the end. Remember, Cobb is not very tall, he may not have seen how wide open the outside was. JMHO.
Not all plays require the ball carrier to see the entire play unfold before making a decision. He as a former QB should know that. Sometimes you have to trust the design of the play and go where you are supposed to go.

With the emergence of rookie RBs Williams and Jones, the Packers could move Ty back to that Swiss army knife WR role that Cobb started in, and then Cobb could be a cap casualty. The Packers have gone bigger at WR recently compared to the Johnny Z days.
Cobb @ 5'10" -- Adams 6'1"; Allison 6'3"; Davis 6'1"; Janis 6'3"; Nelson 6'3"; then the PS squad guys Clark 6'6" and McCaffrey 6'2"

House's praise of Clark yesterday had me re-watch some of Clark from pre-season, and he is an intriguing player.
Clark = Chastain West = Tori Gurley
Clark could become that big, athletic guy who's a mismatch especially on the outside. As tall as Nelson and Janis, but I thought Clark had better athleticism. He just has to learn how to read a defense and how to run routes. That's all. Easy peasy.
Maybe. Some of these guys may just be another in the long list of All Oneida players. McCaffrey is another intriguing prospect with his size and hands.
One thing I noticed watching some of the pre-season clips last night is that Callahan always had his eyes downfield when the play breaks down. If, Hundley ever gets that working, he will be very difficult to defend. Hundley's athleticism is so far beyond what Callahan has, so I understand the pecking order there, but his field vision (prior to the PIT game at least) has been behind what Callahan showed even back in the PS.
TAM should be perfect for Hundley's continued development - they are last in passing D for yds/gm, 6th worst for opposing QB passer rtg, and last in sacks.
I thought Clark was much taller than 6'-3. Wasn't the big deal about him how tall he was? Am I thinking of someone else from PS?
Google says he's 6'-6.
