No real consistent QB pressure and receivers were running open. A competent QB and it's a different game.

Offense again sluggish in spots but the Brown defense probably deserves a lot of credit.

ST Personnel changes have taken their toll but still no excuse for that performance.

Finley's scary injury.

The outside pressure was inept, but if you expected Mulumba/Palmer/Neal to do anything against Joe Thomas and Co. then you should have adjusted your expectations. The interior pressure wasn't that bad actually, Daniels dominated on that sack.

The head shaker moment of the game was 300 lb. Atiyba Rubin running down John Kuhn on that play. Even Solomon Wilcox pointed out how ridiculous it was to have a NT run down even a FB. Kuhn will be gone after this year, he's contributing less and less. It used to be he was an ace ST player, he was an okay blocker, he was a decent short yardage back, he was a good pass protector, and an okay receiver. Now he's an average ST player, an okay blocker, goes nowhere with the ball in his hands, but he's still a good pass protector.

Broncos too taking Monte Ball.

I think Le'Veon Bell looks ok though for the Steelers.

Eddie Lacy is a classic Steeler RB. I'm shocked they didn't draft him

+++++ Aaron Rodgers is BACK baby!!

+++++ AJ Hawk again?!?!?! (Hope he doesn't get busted for anything illegal)

------- WTF happened to our special teams coverage??

------- I want to wring Cris Collinsworth's stack of dimes he calls a neck

Some highlights from the PFF grades:

Positives

- Rodgers, EDS and Lacy all graded out high for the offense

- Surprisingly, PFF awarded AJ Hawk with a positive grade

- Davon House, Burnett and Shields all graded out very highly in pass coverage

- Mike Daniels turned in yet another great game. He's now +8.3 on the season and the #10 graded 3-4 DE

Negatives

- Barclay had a horrible game. After starting the season off strong, he's turned in 3 pathetic performances in a row (Granted, against some elite competition).

- Quarless graded out very poorly as a run blocker, though I think his -3.4 grade in that category is a little extreme considering he only had 16 run blocking snaps.

- Bakhtiari had a nice game in pass pro (allowed only 1 pressure) but struggled in run blocking. Overall I think Bakh is doing very well, his struggles in run blocking are understandable.

- Mike Neal got pushed around pretty well in the run game, but I'm willing to be that's mainly because he wasn't quite at 100%

I'm about done with ProFootballFocus.

Packers offense scores 31 points on a stout Browns defense, grades out at -1.9 overall

By comparison, Ravens offense sores 16 points in a losing effort against an average Steelers defense and grades out at +13.4

I don't pretend to know that much about the game of football, but that makes no sense whatsoever and you don't have to be an expert to figure that out.

Positives:

Rodgers continues his steady play no matter who his receivers are.

Lacy moves the pile forward.

Boykin made the most of his opportunities.

Daniels shows up to play.

Sam Shields with a great goal-line pass deflected.

Negatives:

Davon House shying away from contact on the long kickoff return, and on one of Weeden's scrambles.

Special teams coverage in general suffered.

Injury to Finley.

The Packers defense was saved by some awful passes by Weeden.  Some of their WRs were wide open.

Stupid penalties at stupid times.

Lattimore made the PFF team of the week last week:

Linebackers: Erin Henderson, MIN (+2.8) and Jamari Lattimore, GB (+3.0)

Good work against the run and some pressure rushing the passer meant Henderson finished the week with his head held high. Filling in for the injured Brad Jones, Lattimore coped with an increased workload to really look the part, especially in run defense.

Had to depend on Weeden's ineptness to win this one.

While it didn't hurt, I sure the hell don't see this as valid.

Yeah, I've never liked that line of reasoning. I've seen many bad Packers defenses be shredded by horrible quarterbacks over the years. They did a good job against a guy that they should have been able to take care of, end of story. No point in trying to downgrade their performance.

The game was not on here.  But for those who are ragging on Masthay, I would ask you to consider how taken for granted the guy has been most games.  I think the guy has been amazing, and could well be the difference between a W and an L in several games.

Give the guy a break.  If we weren't so myopic about offensive players, the guy could have been MVP for any number of games while he's been with us.

Just my opinion.

He was pretty terrible yesterday, RW. He had one good punt that was wiped out by a penalty, and then followed it up with another stinker on the re-kick. He had a bad game, but he's still a very good punter.
