Jesus, that thing landed a good 15 yards behind where the PR had initially set himself up.

The returner was probably used to the litany of lousy punters the Packers have had since getting rid of Hentrich.

Now we need to steal a couple that we should be dogs in.   AZ, LA, KC, BAL at MN.

If we can take 2 of those, I'll be happy.

Nobody thought we could beat SF - myself included.

1 game at time. Injuries happen. To the other guys as well.

I'll be happy if they take all 5. Anything less is uncivilized.

Some Packer career total risers from the game:

Alan Lazard passed Joe Laws and Geronimo Allison to move into #60 all-time Packer receiving yards, while Aaron Jones passed Corey Bradford for #52.

AJ Dillon moved past William Henderson, Travis Jervey, Michael Haddix and Ben Wilson into a tie at #70 with Steve Atkins for career rushing yards as a Packer, and Aaron Jones surpassed Paul Hornung for #9.

Bob doesn't know what it's like to play and have emotion caught on a hot mic when you've just scored the winning TD against your hated rival.

Even my 100 year old Grandma laughed.

his reponse was Favre wouldnt do that, Starr and Montana would not do that, Mahomes and Jackson would not do that. Rodgers is all I, I, I per Bob. I get there might not be a lot of love lost between Bob and Aaron. Maybe Aaron put Bob on Blast.

Maybe it's time for some players to get back at fans. Fans are allowed to name-call, talk trash, spew hatred for players, etc., and players are supposed to quietly take it and not say anything. Well, what Rodgers said is not only true, but it's really harmless. He hurt no one, except the Bears' fans' widdle feelings. Don't like it? Tough. He DOES own you. Get over yourselves. And that goes for guys like McGinn, too.

Hate to think of what Greg Bedard would have written.

McGinn is an old fart, so I'm inclined to cut him a little slack.

Go back a couple of generations and the 'traditionalists' were berating players to 'act like you've been there before' for the audacious act of spiking the football.

Who doesn't long for the glory years of the NFL: crew cuts, cigarettes, segregated hotels, ... wait ... never mind.

It's also time for them to get back at the sports writers.

It's a different world today.
Rivalries have always involved 'hate' and talking smack, but it seems so much more personal now. Like people used to call somebody a "bum" or a "bonehead" in the long ago, and nowadays they use slang for specific parts of anatomy, perceived sexual preferences, or worse.
And, yeah, players have to rise above it. There is no good that will come from trading insults with a drunken lout.
'Fans' start walking on thin ice if they include insults to a player's wife, girlfriend, children, parents, or other family and friends. In those cases, I'd hope a team would have a way to send stadium security and remove them.
I draw the line at people that throws crap. Doesn't matter if it's a cup of beer, or a D-cell battery. I'd still rather security deal with it, but if a 'fan' throws anything, and a player wants to respond, so be it.

It could be argued that AR added something to the rivalry with his impromptu words. A rivalry that hasn't been much of one recently. If it was something that he did on the regular, there might be an issue. But he clarified himself in his respect for Soldier Field, the Bares organization and their fans.

When not even the regular season is enough for people to talk about, you get this ginning up of every little stupid thing at the perimeter of the game itself.

I don't recall anyone regretting Ditka shoving it in the face of GB and their fans in a national spotlight with the Frig scoring tds. And the making of a scapegoat in George Cumby. That was just all in good fun, yes?

Shit, that was half of my traveling sales career.

damn-right-thats-right

That smug fucker Ditka even smoked cigars celebrating after Kevin Butthead kicked FG's - Bears were soooo much better than the Packers in the 80's and there was a few times they barely beat the Packers.

I'll always cherish the fact the Packers have taken the All-Time series lead. Never thought we'd ever see that in our lifetime.
