I agree, he needs to get better in a hurry or that job needs to go to Grant.
I think it's obvious Starks is the better runner and I think MM knows it. Starks was the guy getting the carries at the end of the game when we were trying to run out the clock. It wont be long until the majority of Grants snaps are coming on 3rd while Starks get his on 1rst and 2nd.
Positives that may not have been mewntioned:
14 tackles for Morgan Burnett -- 7 solo.
Jarius Wynn was a beast.
Negatives:
Woodson's punch--how dumb was that?
Third down defense

Quarless and Tom Crabtree getting after it in the running game. That was fun.

I never thought Jarius Wynn would amount to much after that first season but he really has come a long ways. He had a sack and a couple pressures. He was also huge in his run defense.
I am going to admit, I was hoping the Packers had gotten Torrey Smith in Round 2 before the Ravens grabbed him. But Cobb is explosive and can turn upfield and run. Just amazing kid and makes me wonder why the Packers signed Jones.
The duo of Starks and Grant was solid last night. On the one screen play though, Grant needed to do a better job on making sure the blockers got their blocks. But overall they did a good job.
Raji was incredible. Anyone trying to tell anyone this guy has been a disappointment or bust is lost. He knocked down a couple passes also and had a couple big stops. Incredible.
Lang was pretty solid last night along with Wells in the running game. I was very impressed by their play. Bulaga looks alot better this year especially in his pass defense. Two bad he fell into TT's lap.
Nice game overall by the LB's minus the couple missed tackles. Hawk is a very good blitzer. He's come a LONG WAY! Really liked Walden's play at times too.
ST's is terrible. SS Minnow needs to be lost at sea. 1 punt return TD and three other returns into Green Bay territory.

That's because Jones didn't get much playing time.
Unfair and inaccurate.
A few guys that surprised me this game, ina good way:
-Wynn: No wonder the Packers didn't feel the need to bring Jenkins back. He's no Jenkins, but this guy is no slouch. He rushed the passer very well and was in there on the Packers goal line stand to end the game. Another late round gem by TT?
-Burnett: We all knew he was an athletic safety that exceled in coverage, but had questions about his toughness and willingness to tackle in run defense. Well 14 tackles later, I'm not worried any more. He also played the goal line stand perfect, staying on the edge until the RB got the ball, then getting his nose dirty and making the tackle. He's still raw, but I think we finally found a partner for Collins (after missing with Roman, Manuel, etc.).
-Rodgers: Yes, his play surprised me. Part of me thought Rodgers unbelievable play last postseason was him getting hot. As in, he's great but no QB is that great. Well 7 months later, Rodgers apparently is that great.
-Jennings: Is it just me, or do him and Rodgers have some telepathic connection? It's like they share the same brain, the way they make that back shoulder pass look so easy. I always had Jennings behind A Johnson and L Fitzgerald, but he's right there with them. He may not catch as many balls, but he catches them when they count most.
-Lang: Already light years ahead of Colledge in the run game and didn't look bad in pass protection. He'll need to prove himself against better DT's as the season goes on, but this o-line can finally run block.
-Starks: Sorry Grant, but you're the back-up now. Starks is better in every facet of running the ball: faster, stronger and harder to take down. I expect them to split carries to stay fresh, but this team may actually have a running game this year. That's scary.
-Cobb: Wow, talk about expoding onto the scene. Even if he's not ready (as he apparently screwed up on both TD's), his presence is going to change teams gameplans.
This is going to be a good year.

I think there is 30 other undefeated teams right now.

One other negative. As well as the Saints moved the ball on our secondary, you can bet other teams are going to study that film thoroughly
They can study it but it's going to take a team with Brees, Colston, Sproles, Graham, etc to reproduce the results.
I just looked at the schedule and there is no more Drew Brees on the schedule except for one Phillip Rivers.
Thanks, Osh.
Some people seem to think the Packers D is going to get carved up week after week. We go from Brees to $cam.

Our schedule seems too easy.. 6 games stick out as "tough" games.
Saints - Win
Chargers - But we get them after we come off a bye.
@ Atlanta - We have shown we can dominate there.
@ Lions - This in not Mike Holmgrens Packers.. We excel in a dome.
@ Bears - Always a tough game no matter talent or records
Tampa Bay - Beat us 2 years ago, up and coming team.
I think 13-3 is a realistic, maybe even conservative, estimate.
Enjoy the journey!

Detroit Lions seven, Green Bay Packers three.

Yeah, I disagree vehemently with the Hawk grade. I though he played at an all pro level and am bigtime upbeat with his performance.
There is not an LB in the universe that can handle Sproles.
Speaking of LB's, anyone know how bad So'oto's injury is? I finally watched the last preseason game and that kid just jumped off the screen.

Nah. Weight lifting?
No way. It ain't sh*t.
McCarthy is thinking December already.

Randall Cobb became the 1st Packer since Wuert Engelmann in 1931 to have a receiving TD and kickoff TD in the same game.
Did you just make that name up?
Big dude for the time.
Yeah, the 3 heaviest players on that team were Cal Hubbard at 265, Walt Keisling 260, and Baby Ray "sometimes" 260.
What the heck?
Woodson fined $10,000 for punch.
