Positives:
Aaron Rodgers settled down and had a good game, INT excepted.
James Jones came to play.
Randall Cobb continues to give the offense a spark.
Offensive line did a good job protecting Rodgers.
Tramon Williams played well, as did Morgan Burnett
Another good special teams fake punt.

Negatives:
Piss-poor calls by refs.
Porous defense on 3rd and long all day long
Poke in the eye for Rodgers.
Graham Harrell doesn't belong on the field.
+ James Frikkin Jones. I didnt miss some pouty WR nursing a sore boo boo
in a contract year.

+ Nelson fought off the alligator arms to make some big plays

+ Ced Ben runs like a truck. hes due to break one big

+ Cobb

+ we prevailed despite atrocious officiating.

+ McMillan looks like a player

- These calls are due to start evening out

- Defense finally adjusted late but was whipped up and down the field

- whoever was supposed to cover Colston on 3rd and long

- maybe I had too high expectations but I really hoped, after Monday night, that the team would come out inspried and kick some ass. WE snuck by an 0-4 team at home when the kicker missed a fg. I know its the NFL so I wont complain about a win but if were gonna go anywhere this year, weve got to tighten up alot of areas. This was a team the PAnthers kicked around

owned by Brees, but that is nothing new

Saints still a dirty team

Botton line, have to win whether the officiating is good or not.

Why would you say that we are a dirty team? I didn't see anything dirty by either team.

I have watched this team for 30 years and they are not a dirty team.
+

GB won in spite of the refs. I rarely bitch about the refs but come on. A blatant offensive PI not called on the Saint TD and a severely blown call on the Sproles fumble UGH!!!!!!!!

Cobb - He needs the ball more

Benson - Tough running but I'd like to see some plays between the tackles

Jones - He was huge today

Arod - He's getting back to his old self

O-Line - They blocked very well today

Attitude - GB played with some anger today. I like it... Although Woody was out of control out there once... Raji too.

-

Harrell - C'mon man!!!!!!!!

Shields - He's gotta be much better than that

Pass Rush - Non existant

Zone Defense - Receivers weren't bumped at the line and it killed us all day

Maybe it was just the desperation coming through, but they looked like they were pushing the boundaries and playing chippy, after the whistle football on multiple occasions. If not for their penalties, the Packers probably lose this one.
Anyway good game fellas. I new we should have gone for it on fourth down. Even if the field goal was good, there was too much time left on the clock.

I didn't bother me that bad about the missed call on the fumble because if McCarthy had not wasted the first challenge on an obvious play, he would have been able to challenge the non fumble call and GB would have gotten the ball on the challenge.

RG was totally blown up our team over BS!! But as you found out after last week when BS happens to your team their isn't much sympathy from other fan bases, because anything bad for you is good for them.

I hope ya'll make it to the SuperBowl. If nothing else if you can knock Atlanta out of the playoffs again, I would appreciate it.

They just looked frustrated to me. I think everything that is going on is wearing on them mentally.

I didn't think the Saints were dirty at all. Somebody pissed Woodson off and he lost it. He needs to control himself better than that.

Raji got a personal foul at the goal line but I didn't see what he did.

He kneed a Saints player in the head and shoved him to the ground. Again, it just looked like some of the players were frustrated. I didn't see anyone intentionally trying to injure anyone.

IIRC, they were going to have to call TO anyway to avoid a delay of game penalty. Kind of stupid to burn a challenge when you know it's going the wrong way but maybe they were going to make yet another stupid call.

Still, good game.
+
1. Offensive Line
2. Rodgers (319, 4 TDs, comeback)
3. Receivers (Jones, Cobb, Finley, Nelson)
4. Composure - they had to deal with a lot of BS towards the end of the game, besides Woodson's little freak out I thought they did a nice job of staying focused and winning
5. Defense when it mattered - goal line stands, late game
6. 2-2

-
1. I'm a whiny douche
2. Pass rush - hard to stop Brees when he has all day
3. Coverage breakdown - seems to be one every game
4. Penalties - especially offsides
5. Harrell

And the officiating was awful. Not something Packers can control but it's awful frustrating to keep getting shafted
Pos:
Cobb - adds a fun dimension to the offense.
Benson - runs hard and has been a reliable check down for AR. Offense runs much smoother when MM sticks with the run game
Jones - had a great game
AR12 - looked like the MVP today
MM - gutsy call on the fake punt
Officials - provided some flow back to the game, but see negatives below

Neg:
Pass defense - looked like last year with the middle of field so wide open all day
Pass rush - see above
Officials - had a bad 1st game back. No excuse for missing the Colston push in the end zone and the Sproles fumble. Could have cost us the game.
Harrell - WTF was that? 1st & goal at the two and can't complete a simple hand-off. Another sequence that damn near cost us the game
About Harrell, notice how many times Rodgers has tripped this season already? Saturday is constantly getting pushed backwards at initial contact. I don't think he's horrible but he has never been a mauler type. I'm hoping TT is looking to invest a high pick/FA for center this next year.

But Harrell at QB still gives me the heebie jeebies.

That play couldnt have been challenged because the recovery wasnt clear.. Once the runner is ruled down by contact, it can only be reversed if recovery is obvious.

Agree. These were 2 highly frustrated teams both desperately needing a need a win and that's what was showing.

While Triplette's crew was just awful, one good thing appears to be league-wide that the tempo of offenses like GB's, NO's, and NE's benefited from the regular ref's getting the ball down quickly and keeping the tempo where it was in 2011.

Just maybe that's why Brees, Rodgers, Brady, and Manning looked a lot like themselves today.
