I think Sitton is probably the only one on the offense who had a solid game. The offense just looked disorganized from the blocking scheme up to the play selection. They leaned heavily on Adams in the passing game as he had the most favorable matchup and he couldn't answer the call. He's a 2nd year WR, he shouldn't be counted on to carry the O.

Abdullah said. "From that point on, we felt we could really dictate the game."

Yeah, you really "dictated the game" & kicked the crap out of Green Bay.
Good thing Masthay was playing for the Lions today & blocked the kick to help you "dictate"

After coming back from the injury, he has looked better week by week. Just not ready to do it alone yet.
Adams had 21 targets, so 10 catches isn't that great.
Interesting comment from Rodgers post game about getting the best players on the field, and he mentions Perillo and Abbrederis? Last week he got scared and now he is calling Perillo and Abbrederis part of their "best players"? My take is this isn't coming from getting polished by Munn, this is coming from not trusting the offense, not trusting the play call(er)(ed). I know he says he is in Clement's corner, but I think he is just holding the company line for the cameras.
He seems to be going Hollywood.
I can buy the idea that maybe he's going Brett Favre. If that's the case, then that just makes getting a new coach in here even more important. Nip that **** in the bud before it gets out of hand.
He's going full retard.
The defense didn't crap the bed today, although they left a few skidmarks.
The offense, OTOH, chit it full.
Our 'vaunted' OL, the one that's "maybe the best we've had in XXX years", sucks ass. Daktari (THE best finger-pointer in the league!) and Bulaga are pussies, all of a sudden Linsley can't pull his head out of his ass, and Lang is teetering between suck and serviceable. Only Sitton is playing with any kind of consistency. Take note on EVERY running play, we will see 3-4 of our OL standing around while there is a pile of opposing players on our RB.
Now, let's mix in some fine play-calling that includes leaving one man unblocked to rush the pass. Pure geenyous right there. Our guys can't block 4 rushers, so let's leave another unaccounted for. Brilliant!
Spent the weekend at the ranch. Life is always better down on the farm.
They all asked about you
Down on the farm
The cows asked, the pigs asked
The horses asked, too
All want to know why to the city
You moved, changed your name to Kitty
What's come over you?

A big skid mark was the 9 play 80 yard 3:58 TD drive after the Pack made it 12 to 10. Again a stark failure to stop someone when it counts.
Unfortunately, folding at crunch time has become all too typical of Dom's crew. They can play reasonably well but when the chips are down and a stop is needed they're never quite up to the task.
Positives? This team has too much talent to stay in this funk they WILL be back mark my words.
Negatives:
Good lord what do the Packers have to do to get a PI or defensive holding call? I am not
one to gripe about officiating but man it is tough to have to play the refs as well.
Defensively they have no big time play makers after Clay and he even disappears sometimes. Outside of Clay they don't have any real playmakers that the opposing offense has to make sure they have them accounted for. It has been the same way for a LONG time that they don't have a physical presence on defense.
Perspective from McGinn's article written yesterday:
Not long ago, a defensive line coach for a team on the Packers' schedule spent extensive time breaking down their offensive linemen. Our conversation turned to left tackle David Bakhtiari, who has given ground against bull rushers all season.
"He's playing damn good," the assistant said. "When you watch your own guys, sometimes you don't think that. But you watch the so-called (top) guys in the league...(Philadelphia's) Jason Peters was getting his (expletive) beat all the time...
"(Aaron) Rodgers' mobility really helps them, but sometimes he's back there six, seven, eight, nine seconds holding the ball. If you watch Green Bay's line, you say, 'Boy, these (expletives) can play.'"
We have to keep in mind some of this is directly on AR and his WR's. OL cannot block forever. The OL IMO didn't play nearly as bad as they did against the Panthers/Broncos. Health may be an issue as well. I suspect TJ Lang and Bulaga are ailing. Wouldn't shock me to find out the same holds true for Linsley as well.

I was at that game.. And some of those NON calls had me wondering. WTF
They may have blocked fairly well in the passing game but 47 rushing yards in a game that was always in reach against the Lions at home will not cut it.
How loud was the booing?? I couldn't watch the game, and heard there was booing as the Packers were heading to the locker room for half time.....how loud was it??
Not as loud as in my living room

Crunch time? They held the levy up for 55 minutes yesterday while the O was punting over and over and over again. Blown assignments and missed tackles are never an excuse but they're much more likely to happen when you've been carrying both sides of the ball all afternoon.
Not as loud as in my living room
Ahaha, I think I heard you.
Sometimes you just have to love the innerwebs:
Scott MorrisonWhy is everybody blaming Rodgers? Maybe if Josh Sitton and his 4 fat girlfriends could pass protect and open a damn hole for Lacy and Starks we could get the offense going.
Crunch time?
Obviously when you punt on nine consecutive drives the offense isn't doing its job but the fold was similar to the late-game collapse in Seattle in the NFCC game.
Boris, I think I probably based my comment on Adams not catching the 2 point conversion. An NFL WR should make that catch. Plenty of blame to go around.
The Lions had 64 plays, Packers 82. The D had plenty of rest time.

I caught that too and wasn't sure what to make of it. He's very intentional about what he says publicly and the players he names. He also seemed to be feeding them the ball, with Abby getting 7 targets and Perillo getting 6 in limited snaps.
Rodgers definitely wanted these guys in the game, and we can only guess if he's been pushing for this behind the scenes. Rich Rod and Jones have offered next to nothing between the 20's lately, and that surely hasn't gone unnoticed by the quarterback.
It is Rodgers' fault.
It is Rodgers' fault if he needs to bring his A game for them to win. He needs to play better, but it's not like he looked like an incompetent NFL QB. He would probably get a C for that performance.
The offense should have put up 500 yards passing against that Lions defense. Quite simply, the Lions DBs are terrible. However, when you can essentially stick a single guy both on James Jones, Adams, and R. Rodgers; rush 4; and then play 4 on 2 versus Cobb and the RB you have problems. Add Richard Rodgers to the mix (who I think I could single cover down in the middle of the field), and it's a recipe for what's happened. The windows were very small to throw into for most of the day. From 2009-2014, Rodgers hits those windows. The last 3 games he hasn't. It's his fault ultimately, but the talent and the scheme aren't doing him any favors.
This team goes as Rodgers goes. If he has a bad game, the team struggles too. The defenses have figured out they want to keep Rodgers in the Pocket. Rodgers wants to get out of the pocket and they have him pinned in. They are not rushing hard on the edge. Rogers gets antsy as that is not his best game. He needs to adjust and start firing the damn ball. That last TD pass was incredible. The TE was not even open and he fired it to where he was going to be. He just has not been doing that enough lately.
It is Rodgers' fault.
He's gone Hollywood.
@RobDemovsky: Aaron Rodgers upset by 'prejudicial' shout during Lambeau moment of silence
Are you fukking serious right now?
What happened with this?
meant to link the story. my bad.
guessing it had something to do with Islam. just a guess.
I read in a blog that someone shouted "Muslims Suck!" I watched on TV and wasn't sure what was yelled, but I heard the very last yell, "Have some respect!" That always makes me shake my head, someone can't keep their yap shut for a moment of silence.

Thay held an NFL opponent to 19 points. The offense couldn't hang 20 god-damned points on the Lions AT HOME. The defense was okay.
The offense has issues big time. If the offense was comparable to last year this team would be 9-0. The defense has improved. Not a lot, but is has improved some to the point this team should be better than last year. That is not the case and I blame everyone that has anything to do with the offense. McCarthy, Clements, line, WR, and Rodgers. They are all equally to blame.
81 offensive plays and you score only 16 points, and lose by 2? No need to look further than the guys running the offense, Clements and Rodgers.
Last year with almost the same offense they averaged 31 ppg and over 60 offensive plays with McCarthy and Rodgers running the offense.
I don't see Jordy being that big of a difference.
McCarthy should take himself off the bench with play calling duties. Lets just see what happens. They have nothing to lose at this point. McCarthy has not made that much a difference on defense so he might as well go back to what he does best, I think.

I was there and couldn't tell what was said originally. I figured it was something anti-Muslim. Then about five more yahoos shouting either encouragement or condemnation (it didn't matter which) continuing the disturbance of the moment of silence.
I wonder if outbursts like that happened anywhere else around the league or does Lambeau get the dubious honor of having the most boorish fans yesterday?
As far as the booing. It was loud. I didn't (and I wouldn't deny it if I had) but I really didn't care it was happening. They sucked. Sleepwalking. After how they played there better not be any players whining about it to the media.
what was with Caldwell being able to change his mind on the 4th and 2 penalty when he declined it and then saw what the packers were doing and decided to change what he wanted to do. Not that it changed anything but WTH.
next time just ask the other team what they are going to do before they decide. Stupid rule if that is allowed.
Even more puzzling is that it never seemed to dawn on Caldwell that they would actually go for it on 4th down.
