Agree, Michigan. If there is one thing I have noticed about Flynn that you can expect a six-year QB veteran to do, it is to not lock in on guys. Yet on just about every pass, you'll see Flynn lock in and never scan the field. He's regressed in that and is more like a freshman in college in reading progressions.

What we have in Flynn is a backup that isn't as good as he used to be. He has improved the past few games and making FASTER decisions, and his arm, while not Rodgers strong or as accurate as Arod, does have some zip. What I can't understand for a guy with so much experience is how he doesn't know how to handle a team as the clock winds down. We should've tied that game yesterday.

Before the Pack resigns him for the future, I'd like to see him take his game to a reasonable level. Didn't see that yesterday at all, especially with that ridiculous interception.

The Int. was really bad. Although the timing on the fumble was horrible, that didn't bother me that much because he was doing anything possible to make a play and get the 1st down. All that said, Fylnn is who he is, an average back-up. I think he's done a serviceable job overall. However I still can't believe Seattle paid him the $ they did to be a starter. Don't think he regressed that much.

1) What's it going to take to have Lattimore start over Jones? Lattimore comes into the game, forces a fumble at the 3 and then promptly is on the bench the next series as Pitt runs it through us. Free Lattimore.

2) I may get physically ill if I see MD Jennings starting at safety again next week. Richardson isn't perfect, but at least he can step up and make a tackle. Jennings can't cover and can't tackle.

This. Lattimore did miss a coverage assignment, but he plays with a fury missing all too often on our defense.

Jones is better in coverage from what I can tell... but it can't be much better because he isn't very good. Likely Lattimore's knowledge of the pass-D calls is not fully there yet.

Why Jennings is still seeing the field over Richardson makes no sense to me at all. Richardson plays the run much better and actually seems to have some awareness of where the ball is on passing plays.

Yes. Every game. Jennings starts. Gets benched. Richardson comes in. Plays well. --next week-- Jennings starts. Gets benched. Richardson comes in. Plays well. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Maybe it's some kind of rotation and they're reluctant to stick to one guy? No idea what's going on.

Flynn is a decent backup.   I think the failure in this game is calling plays as if #12 is on the field.

3 mins to go in a tie game ball on the 10 or so.   We just ran the ball down their throats for a TD on our last possession.  The last thing you want to do there is give the ball back to Pitt with a lot of time left.   We come out winging it instead of relying on what was working all day.

The fumble was inexcusable, but he shouldn't have been in that position.   Run the ball for a couple first down, chew some clock, ensure we end the game with a score to win or go to OT.

Combine that with the choice to stop them on 1rst play after offside, effectively wasting our last TO, and then letting them score and it adds up to piss poor game mgt by MM.

(Yes, he admited to letting score on 2nd play)

Same thing with Raji and Pick this game..  Game starts with them getting man handled by single blocks allowing the LB's to get eaten up easily.    Switch to Boyd / Jones / Daniels and the problem is reduced..

Get to 2nd half, start Raji and Pick... WTF?!?!

Tomlin will likely receive a league "apology" for the blown call on the blocked FG as well. The best approach is to not put yourself in a position where an official can determine the outcome of a game and the Packers made too many mistakes down the stretch and allowed that to happen.

Make more plays review-able, and review more plays. Other than my wife, does anyone care if the games go longer? Longer run-times = more $$$. I'm surprised the NFL hasn't embraced that suck yet.

What are the odds that the Badgers and Packers were both on the receiving end of bad clock management by the refs in the same football season?

I am to the point where all plays should be reviewable.   There is too much riding on these games to have a ref or refs eff things up this badly.   Yes it happens but it shouldn't happen and it is correctable.

I realize I'm in the minority here, but I don't think the Steelers ever had possession after the block. the closest was when one guy tried to lateral but I don't think it was much more than a bat backward to a teammate. I can understand the ref's call.

LOL

He had both hands on the ball and made a perfect two handed lateral that hit the intended target right in the chest.

If that called had happened to the Packers instead of the Steelers.....I don't know how many heads would have exploded around here.

I think it took a long time for that ref to get his butt out of there and let EDS snap the ball, but I also think Flynn called out a partial cadence for some dumb reason. If EDS snaps it on the first sound after the ref sets it, there would have been one or two ticks of the clock left if the same play were run.

But I was also concerned with guys who were in there/not in there during the game and who was targeted. Against the Cowboys, Flynn seemed locked in on Quarless; against the Steelers he targeted Boykin and to a lesser extent, Jones, and he ignored Quarless. Witness Jordy open on the last play. Maybe this is a Flynn problem or did MM not call Quarless' or Jordy's number?

And like many, I say get players on the field like Lattimore, Boyd, Daniels, Richardson, etc. Guys who are willing to lay it all out and make plays. You want players who make things happen or do you want guys who are in the right place but can't make a play? It seems like Capers wants the latter and IMO, he's leaving his best playmakers on the bench. Either Capers can't recognize what's going on or he's too stubborn to make changes after he sets his lineup in camp.
