Yes opening their roof was the right idea, but in true Vikes style they completely failed as they did not plan for snow removal.

I think when you compare the two, it comes down to if you want a higher floor or a higher ceiling. Ced was always going to fall forward for 3 or 4, but wasn't going to bust one longer than 8 yards. Green is more likely to get himself wrapped up at the line or in the backfield with his dancing, but he can pop the 15 yarders, and has a few times already.
I think Green will ease into the roll and provide those short pickups more consistently with the continued threat of breaking off bigger runs.
And will be able to pick up yards when Lang and Saturday can quit being pushed 5 yards back.

Then, by that logic, you just run for another 3.1 yards on 4th down.. More plays means more time off the clock as well.

I think Kuhn can give us the steady fall forward back, minus the fumbling, that Benson could. I prefer the potential for the big gainer from Green.
What I don't understand is the persistence to run to the left.. Lang and Newhouse are our 3rd and 4th best OL.. Our two best reside on the right side.. Maybe this is just me being overly pessimistic? Anyone know where I can find a breakdown?
Would really like to see the o-line start walking the talk. Some of those guys are getting shoved around way too much.
Newhouse is what he is and Bulaga has had some rough games, but I wonder if Saturday is impacting the Guard play? I haven't really noticed a drop in Sitton's play, but maybe having to and/or worrying about helping Saturday is affecting Lang's game.
+: Dirtbag Finnegan was no factor. Next dirty player to worry about might be Harrison Smith of Minnesota.

Sine Newhouse does need help that is often the side the TE is lined up on so hence more blockers if they run left.

You do not always have to run strong side. Ya see, defenders also shift toward strong side to account for this extra player. It's a crazy new concept, but trust me, it happens.
