Poz:

Mason back to form. Great game for him.

The Packers may have found 2 future weapons in MVS and EQ. Ya, against average defenses (Lions included). But there are definitely things to build on.

They won, I guess.

Neg:

Energy. Flat. Can't tackle. Same old shi*.

MM sucks and probably lives as HC to the end of the season now.

Zook. Jeebus.

There’s no way that MM gets canned before the end of the season, and he shouldn’t be.

There isn’t anybody they could replace him with that will get this team deep into the playoffs this season....and MM isn’t some second or third year head coach who’s never produced. Let him finish the season and then move on.

Pos

+ JJ didn't blow it thanks to facing the Brewers MVP of the series, Grandal.

+ Hader tossed less than 10 pitches, should be available tomorrow.

+ Chacin with another gem.

+ Knebel with a awesome outing, he needs to be moved to the closer role.

Negs

- Yelich is ****ting the bed.   Pressure too much for him?

- CC has some serious stones, but JJ shoulf have been yanked after the 2nd hitter.

In other news...

= The Packers look like a 500 team at best.   Anyone confident we come out of the next 5 with a record better than 5-5-1?

+ Clay finally made a play.

- It took until the end of the game.

People are down on the secondary, but IMO the key to the rest of this season is whether or not we can get after the QB.

Offensively, that last drive seems like it could be the catalyst we needed. The parts are all there on offense.

It’s on the defense going forward. They made the stops at the end, but It was pretty scary before that. This D doesn’t pull it together, we’re not going very far.

---- This team is missing Wilkerson badly. The runs up the middle never happen with him in there.

---- Packers win so MM keeps his job. J/K (kinda)

---- jeezus the defense looked like Capers was running it. FML

---- Jim Taylor dies while I'm in the Motherland.

---- Patriots won

---- Vikings won

++++ Pack get a bye coming up

++++ Brewers up 2-1 in the series vs. the $200 million dollar lineup. Don't stop now! Get up 3-1!

The Packers weakness at S will be exploited again and again and again... folks need to accept and understand what that means as this season unfolds. It’s going to be ugly when the opposition has someone who can attack the seams or pop the top.

18 friggin running plays?

EQSB and MVS sure do look like they belong...

Head into the bye no worse injury-wise than they were last week.
Not that any of these guys are going to save the season necessarily, but I'd rather have them than not. We need to get as healthy as possible for this next stretch of games

Rookies getting game experience.
EQ had a great game with a terrific catch and a killer block on the run play for a TD that was overturned. Scantling-gun had a couple of nice grabs and 100 + yards receiving.

Adams
Godgers.
TyMont quietly having a good season.
Bell shook off whatever hurt he got and finished the game.

Crosby got his groove back.

-
OL continues to disappoint

I can't help but to think here is yet another example of a no-name OC coming up with a great plan to attack our weaknesses on defense, and it working to perfection. We couldn't stop them rushing or passing. Very disappointing to see.

Rushing defense.
Pass defense.

Penalties on kick/punt returns. Another stupid PF/UC penalty on Brown. PULL YOUR HEAD OUTTA YOUR ASS OR GO FIND THE BENCH. Dumbass.

Time/clock management and the related affect of using time outs is still poor to questionable, at best.

Thank you.  There is no way the Packers make that change mid season they don't operate like that.  And yes they have struggled but it isn't like they are 0-6.

Positives:  A win in the NFL no matter how ugly is a win.

going the whole field in one minute shows how gutsy and how good AR can be

Negative: to me it always comes back to soft defense.

+ 2,12(clutch-but also was a neg), 17 (balling), rookie wr's looked ok, not good, but serviceable,80,84 and tonyan was in the game...

-33 man he blew that blitz pickup and that was it for him...doghouse (sux bc he is the best rb we have)

- 52,53, same as usual, i don't count that last play bc those should be routine,

- natural pass rush, non-existant, we got to play for the draft, there is no pass rush here this year and we aren't signing one-puts huge pressure on db's

- 38 clearly lost a few steps and we need to make him situational (exc for injuries)

- the tempo and spirit was just gone for 58 mins, i said it earlier, you can't play that close to the sun each week and not get burned.

- i am not really excited about this team unfortunately..

The last second wins are thrilling and all but they cover a lot of stink.

SF wins last night if they don't hand us the ball 3 times.

So much undisciplined play from MM and AR on down.  Bad time outs, penalties and missed assignments.

How the hell were there so many free rushers last night?

Somebody's got to be making mental errors on the back end because I refuse to believe any scheme in modern football would leave voids that large.

Rookie WRs taking steps.  Even Moore! "I'm not dead yet!". Neither is Graham.

AR/Adams do what they do.  Wish they did more of what they do earlier.

Good for Mason.

Say what you will about him, but Kyle Shanahan is not a no-name OC.  Hyperbole perhaps, but Joe Staley called him a next level genius or something like that.

I'm not sure where that TD throw to 17 is on 12's best-of list, but it's way, way up there.

If the playoffs started today, we're in.

+++ MVS, ESB and Moore had nice catches; Davante is the man!; Graham finally got used as he needed to be used; A decisive INT by Kevin King. It gave AR the chance he needed; the one minute, game winning drive adds to the Rodgers' lore. Mason is back. Glad he got the game winner! The Brewers are up 2-1 in the NLCS! The Bye Week will help everyone. Fackrell had a couple of nice plays. One of which he ran down a 49er for no gain.

--- Penalties on Special Teams were killing us. One negated a huge kick return by Montgomery and the others, 2 on Morrison and 1 on Brown, were really stupid. Our run defense looked horrible. Our pass defense wasn't much better. We had the wrong guy covering Goodwin all night--until the King INT. You cannot expect Brice to be able to cover a speedster like Goodwin. Wasting our time outs because we cannot get a play going before the play clock gets to zero. HHCD showed up for a play or two but needs lots of coaching on how to tackle. Is it too early to start talking about draft needs?

Every Niner fan I know thinks he was a mistake.

+ Happy for Kevin King to get his first NFL interception.  He's an intriguing player - hopefully his injury woes are behind him and he can stay on the field.

- The OLBs had a terrible night, which is a recurring theme.  Pass rush was awful, as usual.  OLB's kept getting beat to the outside.  McVay will exploit that mercilessly in 2 weeks.

+ Kenny Clark is a star.  Just a superb run defender, and one of the few D players that showed up through the entire game.

- OL had a terrible night - run game was not good inside, and gave up pressure too easily (may have to do with play-calling balance, too).

+ As others have mentioned - glad to see the rookie WR's get touches.  It is obvious there are still communication and comfort issues with the new guys and Rodgers.

- MM got out of whack on play-calling balance again.  The 3rd and longs were killer.  Packers now 40% on third downs for the season.  Woof.

+ Lucas Patrick was the top RG backup after Bell had to move over for Bulaga.  McCray is a nice story and try-hard guy, but he's a liability.

- I do not understand the wholesale backup DL/OLB rotation that Pettine used early on, which included Gilbert, Lowry, Lancaster, and Fackrell on the field at the same time.  That is not a recipe for success.

- The penalties on offense were backbreaking.  Some really bad series after the Packers had 17 points early.

- I can't figure out Martinez.  He is hesitant in the run game and a liability in coverage (OC's target him), but he does make plays, too.  He needs to step up his game and play more aggressive.

- Mike Daniels is having a very meh year so far.  Is that scheme?

Also the 49ers are not a bad team. True they're 1-5 and you are what your record says you are, but with Garappolo as their starter the team is 6-2. Had he not gotten hurt I don't think we would have been looking at this game as a gimme. Ultimately the QB not being to seal the deal for SF is what doomed them, but when they're whole they're not a bad team. This isn't like getting worked over by the Raiders.

I have to rewatch the game I swear I saw Fackrell make three key stops late in the game (both run and pass game) that kept the 49ers from running away with it.

As everybody notes safety play was AWFUL- on the other side of the ball the 49ers threw the sink at GB pass rush  wise (4 years ago with Sitton and Lang)  GB wins 52-7 but while Lane Taylor has been pretty good RG seems always stop gap and the pressure was excessive .

Run D also totaly collasped with Wikersin gone!   WTF is it with TE's how can GB make every TE in the League look like John Mackey. That is where I swear I saw Fackrell make his impact.

I have been on MVS for a bit- he really reminds me of Donald Driver and that little slant he runs  is Jennings like.  He could be a player.  You wonder when Mr Moore will get jealous and blow up or grow up!

Yeah..  This draft class is looking like amazing.    If we can have a decent class again this year and replace Cobb / Mathews production we could be sitting pretty in the next 2 or 3 years.

Negatives:  Too many to mention.

Positives:  Packers caught some breaks and found a way to win.

This season reminds me a lot of 1999.  Lots of mediocre to poor play all over the place, but with an injured and battered Hall Of Fame level QB that milks out a few more wins than they probably should have.  If we had anything less than a HOF level QB out there, we'd probably have only 1 win so far this year.

++ Big-time play by MVS. Rodgers dancing around pocket once again, motions for MVS to come back, Rodgers throws short, MVS somehow snakes around DB to make the catch. If not a catch, might have been PI.

++ EQ big-time play making the catch near the sideline on a ball thrown a little short and behind him on winning drive. Uses only his hands and cradles it. Clutch.

++ Best part of those two WR plays? They were by rookies and there was no show-boating after making the play. Back to huddle, let's go. Professional.

-- I am tired of getting Zooked. Giving up 15 -- again -- due to stupidity is getting old.

-- When did our Oline get sooooo bad? It's like everyone but Bak forgot how to block or were already on the bye.

++/-- We won. Against a bad team.

+33 got the start

- we see why 33 is not feature back (yet)

+12 had quick release and took what D gave him = moved the ball in first quarter, scored 17 points.

-2nd/3rd qtr no rhythm = FGs and punts

+Perry had 3 tip/knockdowns

-D hot and cold

- Must win game Packers flat. Need back to wall to produce.

+Refs not big factor.

+@RichardSherman you mad bro?

+2, 12, 17 all clutch,

+3 100 yd receivers (17, 80 and Kez) and EQ final drive catch.

Bonus: Brew Crew up 2-1 (LA fans /local radio in panic mode).
