Greg Joseph for 55 yd FG! Who will it be?!?!
Down the middle!
Whew! Long play out of bounds!
Would rather have given Carlson the opportunity. All things being about even we have to imagine the job is his.
Joseph or Carlson?
Injured Packer on the 35 yard line-- Johnathan Ford gingerly walks off the field.

And yes, that was the game Henderson dump trucked ray Lewis and posterized him for all perpetuity.

Hmm...
I do not trust Carlson to be consistent, need to go with Joseph.
And Carlson reminds everyone why he's a risky choice at kicker.

The problem is neither of them are consistent!
Who had hammy injury?
PACKERS WIN!!! Standouts,IMO, for the Packers on Defense were Mosby, Welch, Johnson, Jr and King. On Offense, Emanuel Wilson, Heath and Melton. Both Packer QBs played well, as did both Kickers.
I generally don't believe players play their way on to or off of a roster in a last preseason game, but if I did, I'd say Mosby earned a spot.
Apparently he had a good camp, and could've already been in that position, but I'd still say he solidified that position today.
I hope Melton is in that same position. He may not have quite as strong of case as Mosby, but he is a play-maker! He's a better (if not much better) version of Lazard.
I think most other players are who we think they are. Some positions may be stronger than others, and nobody played particularly bad. The better players generally played to their skill level.

It likely means nothing in the end, but if we have to live with an inconsistent kicker, I'd rather it be the one be the one that nails 'em right down the middle rather than the one who is just sneaking them by an upright when they make them.
#Packers PK Anders Carlson ducked the media after GB's 30-7 win over the #Ravens Saturday. The next 72 hours will be interesting.

I'd rather have the kicker with the strongest leg.
I would duck out on media too. What's he going to say? "Yeah, I deserve the kicking job!"
He had to miss the 32 yarder.....right?!?!?
He's like early 2023 Love. Missing the layups.
Forever Josiah Carlson
Anthony Johnson, Heath, Mosby and Hopper stood out to me. Tough cuts coming up.
I'm a Heath guy. He's a scrapper.

Keeping 7?
Watson / Doubs / Reed / Wicks / Melton / DuBose
IMO, all 6 are better than Heath. He's an excellent blocker though.
Stick with Carlson. Joseph was 82% in 3 seasons at Minny kicking mostly in a dome. Carlson in his 1 season kicking outdoors at Lambeau was 82%.

"That's a kick I've got to make" would have been sufficient.
Biggest problem is Carlson is the same guy he was at Auburn. Organization (Bisaccia) made a bet that they could fix him and presently it appears to be a miscalculation.
Heath is probably the WR7 here, but damn, I hope they keep 7. Maybe they can grab a 6-7 round pick for him for next season if they donβt keep 7, and assume heβd not make it through to the PS.
I really think they stick with Carlson and deal with the ups and downs unless he completely shits the bed, then they get someone off the street. Not to over simplify it because I realize it can have huge implications. I just don't see them cutting the cord on their "investment" in him.

No Dubose for me
Agree ... Heath over Dubose

Funny thing is Carlson had a better college % 71.8 % made than Joseph who was 69.5 % at Florida Atlantic. And XP Carlson was 98.3% and Joseph was 97.1 %. SO I guess Joseph is the same guy he was at Florida Atlantic.
You'll get no argument from me that neither player is really an appealing option.

If the Packers cut DuBose, he'll be a 49er if Aiyuk is traded.
