With everyone healthy? No, he's the #3 behind Cobb and Nelson. Not much of a gap between Nelson and Jones but Cobb is the clear #1 WR.

After seeing the rest of the 1st half, I didn't think Harrell was terrible. Nothing to get excited about but the receivers and Newhouse didn't help him out much.

Nelson and Cobb can't be #1 if they can't stay on the field. #1 on paper is not the same as #1 on the field.

The problem is that not everyone is healthy. Jones, thankfully, has not been injured. Nelson has a nagging knee problem and now Cobb with the shoulder injury.

Nelson has missed a handful of games in his career and I don't think Cobb has missed any. They're mildly injured right now, but that doesn't mean there's a trend.

I agree that these receivers are pretty much equal. Each receiver has different skill sets that compliment each other.

Cobb has been pretty reliable up to this point, so I am confident he will contribute plenty this year.

Nelson did play through some things last year, but he was slowed down by leg problems in most of the games last year. I hope the surgery helps his knee.

I agree that in the preseason they are not going to push guys with injuries. It's the smart thing to do.

Surgery is a last choice deal. I think if he could have skipped surgery he would have. The knee was bad enough that he could not play with it the way it was. IMO

This. Preseason games are fraktastically stupid outside of getting inexperienced guys some simulated game reps and letting your players beat on someone else for a couple of series.

I'm not talking about paper, I'm talking about who is better than who. Cobb has missed 2 games in 2 years. Availability is not an issue. He is the #1 WR. Period.

Nelson has missed 7 games in 5 years. Again, availability is not an issue. Last year was probably the exception and they finally took care of something that has been nagging him since college - yet he's still had three 16 game seasons in 5 years. He's our #2 but it's close between 2 and 3.

Jones has missed 6 games in 6 years. All of those in one year. Very durable and dependable. No more so than Nelson or Cobb, though. He's the #3 but again it's very close. I'll call him a #1 WR when he puts up at least 1 1,000 yard season. He doesn't even have an 800 yard season.

Nelson is 1 year removed from a 1,200 yard season. Cobb had 950 in his 2nd year and is still ascending. Rodgers obviously loves the guy. Thinks he'll have 100 catches. I doubt it with all the other talent on this team but he's be the #1 WR. Jordy and Cobb are dinged up right now. So what, get back to me when the season is underway and they are both watching from the sideline. They are all gamers. All NFL players get hurt and miss games. Even James Jones.

Did anybody else notice that AR's long pass the Jones was on 3rd and 2 around midfield with Starks wide open in the middle of the field for about a 4 yard gain?

What is it with throwing deep on 3rd and short just outside of FG range? It was a big pet peeve of mine the last couple of seasons.

Great catch by Jones though. And I thought the 1st team offense looked really good, especially if Lacy gets some of those carries instead of Starks.
