I thought he has been subpar esp after we dumped ginger for him, thought he would be booming those kicks especially in the winter, not so much to date, little disappointed - like someone else maybe before he costs us a game.
I hope MM isn't thinking Scmuck is going to self correct himself like Crosby did because Crosby was good once. You can't self correct a toilet coil because it used to be a steakhouse tenderloin. If it's ****. Sometimes it's destined to be ****.
Easy, that toilet coil is someone's son.
Every toilet coil is sacred?
Do not ask for whom the toilet coils.
Schum is who he is and we will just have to live with it.
Oh, okay, we have to live with it. I guess this thread can be closed.
When it's AJ Hawk or Te' Adams, we need to trust the Brass at 1265 because they are smarter than the fans and if there was a better option, cough Abby cough, they would deploy it.
Explain the difference to me when it comes to the punter?
at the very least, you bring in competition for looksees during the week. in Ted I trust but this is a tad bit embarrassing. I'm not seeing the diamond in the rough, I do see chum tho. Peter Mortell hit the ball better, and appeared to have skills to develop. don't make it a pride thing Ted. correct the mistake.
I think Ted is losing his edge. This punter has no business anywhere near an NFL football field. I'm sure he's a nice guy & all but his so called "punting" needs to be punted.
B. J. Sander to the rescue! I hope he's stayed in shape.

One. Job.
It ain't blocking. It ain't reading coverage. Formations. Scheme. Personnel. Backfield. Secondary. Down. Distance. Time left. Time to go. Substitutions. Reads. Routes. Checks. Audibles. Blitz.
One. Job.

Adams is inconsistent, but he's very physically gifted, he's shown flashes of starter ability, and he was a high draft pick. Schum is consistently bad, has never shown an ounce ability and was a street FA. It's not unrealistic to think Adams could turn the corner if he got his head straight. Hawk was the opposite of Adams in that his head was 100% on straight, but couldn't keep up physically.
Theres not one person on this board who has argued Abby SHOULDN'T be on the field more by the way. No one is on the other side of that debate.
On the plus side, it makes it easier to consider going for it on every fourth down...
Abby is becoming Janis. With Lemon!!!!
Abby would never let the defender move him off his route into a post Nelson is running with single coverage.
Not sure TT is losing his edge but the Schum move looks awful. He's been a complete scrub.
Hungry - obviously you never saw him play at Wisconsin. He ran just about every route possible and made a lot of DBs look pretty silly.
No one is going to mistake him for Julio Jones but why he is not getting more reps is beyond me. Same thing with Montgomery.
T. Janis ran his man into Jordy's single safety post. Abby would have drawn his man away. Don't pull a Starks. Chill.
Chilli understood.
Watching NYG get to start their drives from the 50 yard line after Schumm does his thing oughta tell TT that his punter isn't doing his thing very well. Was Mortell or Masthay that bad? I was never really fond of Masthay's shanks, but Mortell wasn't really given a chance before he and Masthay were released to make way for Schumm.
This is classic. "Don't put anything on tape until we absolutely have to like in the playoffs."
Most likely why we haven't seen much of Abby or Monty. I think some packages for T. DAVIS are forthcoming too.
Change the punter before he costs the team a win.
Love it, save Monty and ABBY for the playoffs and unleash the Janis! In the SB
Genius, pure genius.
They're bringing back Tyrone Davis with Cook hurt? Brilliant!

If he could turn back the hands of time....
Packers did not report any tryouts to league office today so no punter auditions. Sticking with Jake Schum for now
On the bright side, he is due....
McCarthy says he ain't changing players midstream. Well, what about when he is at the end of his stream and flushing?
He also said that he would not change play callers....we do what we do.
He waited late in the season last year.
This better not cost us the game...
FML....

Pfffft, a bunch of Casuals questioning TT.
I can't conceive of any argument where the punter is NOT the least important position on a football team. Schum's ability to ably hold for Crosby (so far) is reason enough to keep him.
He's what, maybe a yard or two short of the league average for net on his punts? He's not a tactical weapon but if you're depending on your punter, you're not a very good team.
As long as he doesn't fumble or get blocked ANY punter is good enough.
Schmuck is 31st in the NFL for avg. yards / punt and 22nd for net yards. He isn't good. The only thing holding his net at 22nd is that GB has only given up 36 total punt return yards after 4 games.
The flip side here is when you barely scratch out 40 yard punts there won't be many opportunities for a returner to do much with it. So there's that.
Great job finding the silver lining! Schum is the new Available and Accountable guy.
