Yeah, right?  Where’s honkey heritage month?

I'm proposing the Mickey Rooney Rule where teams need to let short white guys try out for cornerback.

Field's is an exceptional athlete. obviously..but his touch is something I look forward to playing against for years to come. Does touch improve?

I hate to say it, and it’s really about the Bears not being at the same level of competition for awhile, but I hate the Vikings more.  Sorry!  I hate them both with a guttural passion, but I hate the Vikings slightly more at this point.  I hope they lose, and drop it off playoff contention.  The bears are pretty much toast already.

Yes.  Living in MN, the obsession they have with Green Bay is just ridiculous.  And their fans are so petty.  I can't muster up any sympathy for them.  At all.

Sucks they won.

That was insanity.

No, your proclamation as the Bears finally have a good QB is insanity.

From ESPN:      QB breakdown: Quarterback Justin Fields produced efficient passing numbers, completing 26 of 39 passes for 285 yards and a touchdown on the game's final play. But he couldn't get the Bears into the end zone on four trips to the red zone, the team's worst performance in the red zone since 2010. Fields added two more fumbles to his NFL-leading total of 12, losing one, and took a total of three sacks -- two of which lost 14 yards. He has had worse starts this season, but it's hard to imagine that anyone watched his performance Monday night and thought he was on his way to becoming one of the NFL's next great quarterbacks.

Tyler Huntley is so far ahead of Justin Fields at this point, it isn't even a contest. Maybe Fields gets there (being a competent QB) with some more reps.

There are some obvious exceptions (Joe Burrow and Mac Jones), but a lot of QBs that come from the college programs that are just factories for 5-star recruits (Ohio State, Clemson, Alabama, etc.) struggle early on to adjust to the fact that almost every player in the NFL (and not just their teammates in college) is the equivalent of a 4 or 5 star recruit. The separation that WRs get at Ohio State in coverage (even the 3rd and 4th WR) is a lot different than the separation they get at the NFL level.

We'll see how Lawrence does next year, but 9 TDs/14 ints is not a great start. A lot of that might be Urban Meyer, though.

Yeah if you offer me Justin Fields or Tyler Huntley today I don't even blink before I take Huntley. He can do everything Fields can do plus he can throw on the run.

Fields had an odd habit of jump-throwing like a shortstop avoiding a sliding runner.  You might see any other QB, even ones that are mobile, do it maybe once a year.  I think I've seen Fields do it at least once in every game I've seen him play.  I know he's on the short side but not Kyler Murray short.

Huntley is no Hundley.  If he can improve his decision making and seeing the whole field he could be a good starter somewhere.  Credit that BAL FO for finding him to back up LJ.

I can watch both without Sunday Ticket.   Philly/WFT on Fox 28 Cedar Rapids or Rams/Seahags on Fox 47 Madison.  Commercial comes on flip to other game.
