@WesHod

MM: Perry, Jones and Taylor are where they are in their rehab. They go through stages. Everyone was done on field today

@WesHod

MM: Brad Jones - OK. He didn't take a whole lot of reps. Just want to ease him back into it

@WesHod

MM: James Starks looked good. He looks to be back. We didn't do a whole lot of team today. Did a lot of jog through and teaching.

@WesHod

MM: Jermichael Finley is still speaking opinions from specialists. Hospital said he's doing well, making progress. Still in hospital

@WesHod

MM: I have not sat down and had meeting (about 88's football future) with Ted yet. Pat McKenzie is doing due diligence, best interest of 88

MM: Adrian Peterson is an outstanding player. I felt the 1st game, he kind of got away from us. I think we over pursued in 2nd game

GB has a much improved DL this season with Jolly, D. Jones (who's done some good things last 2 games) as well as AJ Hawk playing out of his mind. I'd like to see a healthy Brad Jones but to be honest I didn't see a huge drop off from Lattimore. That kid was getting some excellent up field pursuit and had some tackles for loss IIRC.

Couple that with AP having a ? hamstring issue, I think we'll see a different run defense that what we had in 2012.

Here is Silverstein's notes from today:

McCarthy

  • (Finley) Seeking opinions by specialists. Doing better every day. Making progress. Still in the hospital.
  • (This season) Ted and I met yesterday. We'll wait until all the info comes in. We won't be premature. Do what's in his best interest.
  • (Jones, Perry, Taylor) Did some work today.
  • (Starks) Looked good. We didn't do a lot of team today. Lot of jog-through, teaching periods.
  • (Brad Jones) He was out there, Looked OK. Trying to ease him back.
  • (Metrodome) Incredible homefield advantage for them.
  • (Lattimore) He's taken advantage of his opportunities. But we want all players back. One player doesn't affect the status of another. Good to have competition.
  • (Hayward) Looked good. Was very close last week. He'll be ready with a full week of work.
  • (Bakhtiari vs. Jared Allen) Jared's having another good year. Challenge how loud it is in Metrodome. Tough place to play for tackles.
  • (Motto this week) Silence is golden (laughs)
  • (House) I think he's playing very well. Played well this week. Did some really good things on special teams. Anytime have a player play high level special teams is a good indicator. Playing welll in bump and run and zone. Talented young man.
  • (Peterson) Outstanding player. Felt first game got away from us. Up there I think we over-pursued. He really hurt is. When you're not right, he can accelerate in the crease. Big, powerful back. Excellent acceleration. We have to be in our gaps. We have to play square.
  • (Jennings) It made the topic list. It's not really a big deal. Greg was a fun player to coach. He's moved on. Wish him the best.
  • (Quarless, TEs) You just don't replace Jermichael. Andrew and Bostick will both have to step up and play the role.
  • (Freeman, Ponder) Stay true to the film. Way they play with Ponder a little different than they played with Josh. We have a pretty good understanding what they're trying to do.
  • (Playing Monday night team) When home and home not a big deal. But it is a Sunday night game. These schedules come out and you have plenty of time to prepare.
  • (Outside) Plan is to stay outside, but go inside last 30 minutes. Plan is to be on turf, but I like to keep the team on grass as much as possible.

Lattimore has looked very good since being inserted into the lineup.   Brad Jones might have been playing the best football of his career before he got hurt.  These are good problems to have.

It's kind of similar to the Hayward deal.   House has been solid but it's hard to replace Hayward's production.   The guy just seems to be a turnover generating machine when he's playing.

No... here are a few snippets from a couple weeks back.

From a JSO story citing the WDUZ report...

Radio station WDUZ in Green Bay reported Perry suffered a fracture, but coach Mike McCarthy would not confirm that.

"I don't know what Nick's status is, where he's going to be, that type of thing," Capers said.

From Perry himself, the day after the "broken" foot.

Good morning to all. It feels good to wake up, knowing that we dominated out there. I can go to work in good spirits! Enjoy your day.

No one went on record.
