Now that we have enjoyed the bye its time to move on to the Rams on MNF. I don't know if they flex MNF games but I wouldn't have hated it if they had.
As for the Rams have fallen off hard this year and are 4-9 and I believe they could be the team off to the worst start of any defending Super Bowl champ.
Needless to say the Packers have to win out to remain in what slim playoff hopes they have and lets start the run beating the Rams!

If we can get this one, things get a little interesting....
The 4 teams above us (Wash, NY, Det, Sea) all play teams with winning records.
Though Washington and NY play each other we could still see 3 losses in those 4 games
And the queens and dolphins (2 winning teams left on our schedule) aren't looking great either

I used the ESPN Playoff machine and had the Packers winning out and not paying any attention to who the Packers needed to lose to make the playoffs. Just picked the games straight up as to who I thought would win and lo and behold the Packers came in with the 7th seed. So the key game will be beating Miami on the road.

It will be interesting to see if Jalen Ramsey shadows Watson everywhere he goes. Hopefully other guys step up if Watson is taken out of this game with a lot of attention.
The run game will be important to keep them off balance.
Update on our playoff chances.
The Packers should be well-rested and as healthy as they've been all season for this stretch run of games. All we can do at this point is pray that Barry has a new plan, and those changes get implemented this week.
I think they have played very well vs the Rams the last 2-3 times. I expect that to remain the same this time around. IMO, they have a sizeable advantage in the matchups, the Packers strengths are where the Rams are weak. The only strength the Rams have is their rush defense, but we'll see how they handle Jones, Dillon, and Watson.
The Rams are especially inept on offense (injuries have killed 'em), ranking near the bottom passing, rushing, and scoring. There's only one way our defense wouldn't dominate them (and they absolutely should), and we all know what that is...

The good news, the Rams running game is nothing special so our defense probably can keep them under control better than in some other games.
That said, our defense did make Daniel Jones and his backup receivers look like a bunch of All Pro’s so anything is possible against our defense.
For those that have put off going to a game at Lambeau due to ticket price you can easily get tickets to this game or the Lions game for under $50 each.
I'm guessing there's gonna be a ton of SKOL fans at the Vikings game.

Man, at this point, I'd have to say the Iggles are looking like SB favorites. They've been destroying teams.
I would take the Niners over Philly right, even if the game were in Philly.

SF has got some mojo going, but I have a feeling that one more injury is going to implode them. It's like they're hanging on by a thread.
Now, if Hurts gets jacked up on a run play, that would be a huge change in dynamics, but otherwise, the Eagles are a much healthier across the board.

What Philly does well is balance: offense, defense and Special teams are all solid contributors. Something we haven't had since.... we last won a Super Bowl?

Assuming neither team has any major injuries to star players, I just don't see a Brock Purdy-led team going to the SB or perhaps beating the Iggles in a championship game. Right now the SB looks like Iggles vs. Chefs IMHO.

Truth be told, that 2010 team that won it all didn’t have great special teams but Crosby and Masthay were solid in their positions. Passing game and defense both were elite and that was enough to win it all.

On the Mora playoff discussion, I feel I've boiled it down fairly simply - obvious assumption is we win out :
1. We don't need to worry about Detroit. They are 1 game above us and we would have beaten them week 17 so the best they finish is tied with us. Tie breaker falls to common opponents which gives us an edge
2. after the upset to the panthers we don't have to worry about Seattle(probably). They have to drop 2 of 4 and have SF, KC, NyJets and Rams. They probably lose 3 or at least 2
3. True focus is on NYG and Wash. If we win out and come up short, losses to either team will turn out to be our dagger. They play each other next week. One of these teams needs to drop 3 of 4. We should root for the team with the tougher schedule to lose Sunday. The loser of this next game still needs to drop 2 of 3

Just a couple of public school graduates showing off. I’m a Milwaukee Public School graduate…the fact that I had a 2.3 G.P.A. and hadn’t car-jacked a Kia would have earned me honors at graduation.

I also agree that Philly is probably the odds on favorite in the NFC. But, looking at their schedule you are right there is no real signature win. They have beaten teams such as Jags, Texans, Colts, Steelers, Cards, and Lions. I would still take the 49ers over them though just have this hunch about San Fran.
As for the game on Monday my biggest worry is the DC and what he dreamed up during the bye. The Rams can't run the ball and I can just see this being a game where they lay an egg and give up all kinds of yards.

I don't see why Purdy couldn't get SF to the SB. His draft status notwithstanding, he's played really well so far and he doesn't need to carry the team when his D is playing the way they are. The real test would be vs. PHI.
