W.C. Clark was the Godfather of the Austin blues scene who influenced Stevie Ray Vaughan and countless other great musicians. He was 84. No cause of death has been announced, but it was reported that he had been in hospice care since his last gig at Giddy Ups on Feb. 20. I'd go to Giddy Ups about every 3rd Tuesday to hear him play. He was very talented and extremely kind. Another great has left the building.
