Rockin:

Survived a game we should have lost.

Bye comes at perfect time.

DikDod had a good game.

Ginger with his best game of the season.

James Starks

Jeff, So Easy a Cavmen Can Do it, Janis!

Suckin:

Abandon the run with the lead. Didn't go back until the 4th.

Eddie Lacy, no vision and fumble.

MM clock mgt on last drive.

Bad pass rush, why wasn't Shakespeare in to make plays in the 4th?

Micah Hyde

Pretty sure I saw Micah Hawk out there today though.

Bak stinks.

Agree about Bak, looking more & more like a LT should be a draft priority, as far as the secondary, I really think it was more a case of Rivers & OC being one step ahead of Dom. They seemed to know exactly what coverage we were going to be in at the snap and went right to that receiver before rush could get home ( I wonder if by going no huddle they kept certain defensive groups out there that would tell them exactly what coverage we would play). In contrast, they appeared to often take away AR's first look & make him hold the ball.

+

win and a bye

starks

We scored early again

monty was set to have a big game

-

how does Cobb not get more touches

wr way to open all game...they controlled the clock with no running game

we failed to convert on short fields

rodgers looked lost most of second and third quarters

Phat lacy is overrated, 20 lbs overweight...no injury excuses from my Pov. We have to be able to run the ball in games like that

oline poor performance

I have more but we are 6-0!!!

Positive: We are deep, balanced and have time to mend just when we really need it. 6-0 is still quite a hat tip to MM in his efforts to lead this team, stoopy face or not.

Picture is worth a 1000 words.

Eight kids will do that to you.

+The win.

+Starks

+Janis

-Offensive line

-Lacy (has to be hurt - he should be on sidline)

-WRs

-DB and LB coverage (especially Hyde)

-Pass rush

MM and Rodgers need to adjust on offense.  For the first time in a long time, the WRs and TEs are a below average group of pass catchers.  Playcalling needs to be adjusted for what they have.  OL needs to block better too.

Defense?  No idea what is going on out there.  Two incredible defensive performances followed up with that.  Yeah it hurt not having Perry, Burnett and Raji but I've never seen a team struggle that bad in coverage.

Let's just put this one behind us.  Outside of Janis and Starks, not a whole lot to look back on and be excited about.

+Perfect example of why keeping yardage stats is mostly useless. 503 passing yards, but not enough points to make that mean anything. Honestly if you're throwing 65 passes then you should rack up some yards. Yards given up is not very alarming IMO, the D held up when it needed to.

-Rivers dropped back 65 times and we only got to him 3 times, no INTs and he had a rating of 99.7. Every time they pressured him he seemed to struggle. Gotta get healthy and get that cleaned up.

I gotta say, I am thrilled with the play of Datone Jones. The guy is bringing it and making significant, game changing plays. Batting balls away, getting sacks. Great to see him coming around.

Matthews was a beast yesterday, and if not for Rivers being so adept at unloading the rock quickly, would have notched a few more sacks.

Damarious Randall was huge to shut SD down and bring us home the winner. Great play by the rookie.

Not sure what is going on with the rest of our DL, as they were made to look like chumps against an OL loaded with 2nd and 3rd stringers. I also wonder what is up with our play calling? Man, we looked to be shutting down our own successful running game.

The last drive was commendable, even though it only resulted in 3 pts. on the Crosby FG. They started that at 6:14, and methodically drove the length of the field, with some big, big plays by Richard Rodgers and Jeff Janis. By the time Rivers got the ball back, behind 7, there was 2:37 left to work with, and our D made them use every second, and held on to win.

Glad we got the W, and remain undefeated heading into this much needed bye week.

- The effect of not having Raji and Perry in the rotation on defense. With Perry out Matthews had to play way more on the outside and I think that reduces his effectiveness. Perry and Raji have been beasts this year. Guyon playing in his second game after 4-game "rest". Think his might be more effective if part of the normal rotation. Think he will come one more as the season moves forward similar to last season.

+ Contributions from the Bottom half of the roster especially on offense. Montgomery injury forces additional play for Janis, Abby, Perillo. Think this can only pay dividends as the season moves forward. Cannot help but think that this had some effect on Rodgers being "off".

+ D Jones, made a couple of timely big plays stopping Woodhead on the last drive and his sack of Rivers.

+Ha Ha seems to be making more impact plays every week in different ways. Forced fumble, coverage, keeping Allen out of the endzone.
