Didn't we get a high level of pressure from the DL last year?  DL coach was let go and one of those assistant guys took over:Screenshot_20241212-215603

If you're paying Saleh anyway, get his ass to GB full time and let him loose on the defensive line room. A Super Bowl run is on the line. Forget worrying about stepping on anyone's toes and fix the issue, imo.

I just finished. Recaps his entire career with an emphasis on the personal changes he made Covid-post Covid and his handling and rehab of the achilles injury. Look, I can see why people don't like the guy, but man there were some good memories there, and think what you want, but I think the guy is good person. Flawed for sure, but who isn't?

It was cool to see a lot of comments on there from MM, Favre (still awkward). and MLF about Rodgers time in GB. What really struck me though was the amount of regular season success vs post-season disappointments . As many great memories as there were, and there were a lot, there was just the one SB win. Some players and teams consider that a gift, but seems like a disappointment for Rodgers and something he's making peace with.

Just finished up. It was interesting. Nothing too revealing for all of us that have been following the team, but it was a lot more NFL Films than kooky documentary. Was hoping it wouldn't be 3 hours of bitter complaining. Definitely wasn't that. Worth a watch for any Packer fan, imo. Did a pretty good job covering his Packer career. If you watch on a tablet instead of a TV you can adjust the speed to 1.5 and get through it in 2 hours instead of 3.

Watched the first episode then over to the Bucks game.

One thing that struck me was all the me, me, me, me, I, I, I, I throughout. I mean, I know none of us here would be surprised to know that Rodgers is a classic egomaniac but for anyone that wasn't aware, they are after watching that. I also noted him mentioning his goals on returning to play for the Jets

#1 - win an MVP

#2 - win a Super Bowl

I don’t doubt that he’s a good guy and I’ll probably watch it at some point, but right now I’m just ready for him to go away for awhile.  WAY too much media coverage for AR, especially for a QB who’s best days are clearly behind him.

I do still enjoy the shadenfruede aspect of it all though. Karma.

Not really sure what I can learn from this.  He has been a part of our lives for almost 20 years, not in the shadows either. Is there is any “celebrity” that we need to know more of?  He hasn’t been shy or reticent to comment on the minutiae of his life.

I’ll watch him play til he is gone, that’s enough for me.

If you read his book there isn't a very good chance of ever getting back on his good side once he's sent you to "the island".

Only one person (allegedly) has returned after being sent to the island. And that was his best friend from high school. Or what he called his "best friend".

Guys like Rodgers can never have real friends. It's just people he allows around him and everyone else can fuck off.

Something good for a change. Nice to see him doing good stuff for the kids. I find it amusing the kid doesn't know who he is. I think Rodgers actually likes that too.

What they don't tell you in the xtweet is that AR intentionally bought a pair for the kid two sizes too small but told him that's how great football players wear them.  Totally AR.....what a prick!

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers needs only one touchdown pass to reach 500 for his career, and his longtime friend and teammate, Davante Adams, wants to be the one to catch it.

"Obviously, I'd love to," Adams said Friday after practice. "I got 200, I got 400, so it would be dope to get 500 as well."

Rodgers is on the verge of joining Tom Brady (649), Drew Brees (571), Peyton Manning (539) and Brett Favre (508) as the only players in NFL history with 500 touchdown passes. .

"We've had some special connections in the past, so it'd be great," said Adams, who expects to play despite a hip injury from last week. "And, obviously, it would be a big, big thing for him. Not that he needs more accolades and more milestones, but you might as well keep racking them up while you can."

So how many consecutive passes will Rodgers throw to Adams?  5?  10?  15?

Watched that last game and thought to myself on the safety, "Now who would call a longer developing pass from the 1/2-yard line?" and then I slapped myself upside the head because I knew it was Rodgers who was trying to be a hero. And then he didn't have time/couldn't pull the trigger to prevent the safety. What a day he had: two INTs (one by a lineman), safety, and a penalty for an OOB late hit. More like a Caleb day than a HOFer day.

I knew Rodgers was washed, but I really knew he was washed there.  He had a hot read who was covered, but decided to hold onto the ball to see if the receiver came free, but never did.

A younger Rodgers would have just thrown it at the WRs feet and lived to see another down.  41 year old Rodgers has a brain fart and is too slow.

There was another play.....3rd down, he rolls to the right and has Breece Hall wide frigging open for a first down and move the sticks.....instead he throws back towards the TE middle of the field who was also wide open and his throw is at the guys feet and ends up incomplete.

His accuracy all year long has been abysmal.

Think about giving up hundreds of millions, many draft picks and your coach to be worse off than rookie bust Zach Wilson. Its hard to comprehend

Cousins has been just as bad if  not worse.  It's almost like giving old QB's coming of achilies injuries hundreds of millions of dollars is a stupid idea.

Atlanta was stupid to pick Penix when they had given all that guaranteed money to Kirk but in the end they're in much better position than the Jets are going to be.

Could anyone see this ending THIS badly for the Jets?

Holy shit, it couldn't have happened to a bigger asshole or a bigger asshole city.

Think about it, the Jets had both the offensive and defensive rookies of the year (Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner) and a top 5 ranked defense in 2022, and then pick up both Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams.

In 2022 they were 7-10 with Zach Wilson.  These ROY's have 2 years to get even better and they add in one of the best QB/WR tandems of all time to go along with that defense?

And yet they only manage 4 wins?  How the hell does this happen on a team stacked with talent?  If you say it's all coaching then Andy Reid needs to make more money than Mahomes.
