From my friend on the Nevada staff

"Rome can be as good as Davante if he wants to be. He's the only one stopping him."

Per my friend who used to be on the Nevada staff, recruited Doubs there, he was always a headcase.

Had hoped it was a maturity thing...perhaps it still is. He's one of our best...hoping this was just a blip.

Good to see from Romeo.

More on Romeo. Says it had nothing to do with the team or his individual performance. Rather it was something mentally bothering him. Specifically said he had to make sure he got the family together again

"He insisted wanting a bigger role had nothing to do with skipping practice and called himself a “team guy.”

“I had to make sure that I got the family together again,” Doubs said, via Matt Schneidman of TheAthletic.com. “I’d say there was some things going on off the field, so as far as just the organization and just the staff, players, there’s nothing going on within that area, so I just wanna make myself clear there.”

Doubs said he is doing “fine” and happy to be back with the team.

“There’s just some things I have going on off the field. I just had to make sure that I had that under control,” he said."

Mental health issues are a real thing and if we accepted them like someone’s type 2 diabetes being out of control, this world would be a better place.

Hope the kid is in a good place now and everyone can move forward. No doubt he has really talent, he had a really good TC.

Here’s to a great game for him on Sunday. 🥂🍻

I just read this……thought pretty good thinking for a teammate of Doubs.  👏🏻

"Everyone's trying to provide for their families and whatnot," Watson said. "It's tough to go by when it seems like it's never going your way, but I don't really think that's been the case here for a lot of us. I think we've gotten opportunities; all of us would love to get more, but I think that the team goal will come first, and you gripe about the individual goals later."

This guy is making over a million a year based on his talent and can't show up to work? Life is full of challenges that non millionairres deal with every day.  Fuck this spoiled loser.

Why don't you just mind your own damn business.

🤣 😂 🤣. So sorry, but that is quite a political statement........Gov. Walz said that as well, ya know to politicians that try to regulate women’s rights to her own medical choices..     thanks ammo.       ( Oooops and sorry to bring up politics.)

Credit where credit is due I did this first. So let's get the facts straight.  Those thumbs down are mine.

Also, anybody shitting on Dr. Bob is a fuck face and couldn't pass the naturalization test.

People have been using that statement long before Gov. Walz said it.  It's only become political in the past few months.

I thought it was far from hard feelings. It looked like the team was almost cocooning him -- nothing raucous or over the top, but more respectful than anything else. And both of those scores, especially the second one, were not only talant but 100% effort.

From what I've seen in the media, Doubs said he had some personal stuff going on. That changes a lot of things vs "I want the ball more." We don't know what we don't know.

The one thing that's evident is 87 doesn't express himself clearly. I take that into account about any report that assumes his state of mind.  Articles always read like declarations. I think the way he communicates is more complex. He seems to be making an effort to let people know it's not one thing in particular.

No one is going to get a clear answer from him that advances a story. That might be frustrating for reporters, but he's just a different kind of person. 87 wasn't driving drunk or assaulting his girlfriend. Might just need some time and space to work through whatever he's dealing with. We don't know the family dynamics of any of these guys. If the game is where he gets away from it all that's not the worst outcome.

And I loved the way his teammates embraced him after he scored.  Didn't look like there were any hard feelings to me.

Gute invested a lot in character with his draft choices. There's a balance in the locker room between talent vs possible negative influences. I feel pretty good about everyone from the QB to the rest of the WR room that they'll be able to work through this and come out stronger on the other end.

This organization dealt with enough drama from WRs over the years that there's institutional knowledge not to bring in another Sterling or Javon. Those guys are net negatives in the big picture. They try to get as much Oline mentality in the WR room as possible. That's held pretty strong for the last 15 years. Reed and Watson particularly this week have exhibited a lot of positive character attributes. There's a lot of over, under, around, or through mentality. They get through the week and regroup.

Thought his, Doubs, reaction to the TD's were strange.    Stone cold face with no expression and a muted celebration.

Strange behavior.

Not strange according to his QB.
