McGinn had him ranked as the 4th best safety. Gutkenecht just said he could play corner or safety.

Bob's write up:

4. QUINTEN ROLLINS, Miami (Ohio) (5-11, 195, 4.54, 2-3): Amassed 391 assists and 214 steals in Oxford as a four-year point guard. He used his final year of eligibility to play football for the first time since high school in Wilmington, Ohio. Started at CB, playingfinishing with 72 tackles (four for loss), seven picks and nine PBUs. "For a kid who was  basketball last year, pretty impressive," one scout said. "And he'll come up and hit you, which is equally shocking because he was a basketball player. He came up and laid people out." His 40 time, however, probably was best suited for safety. "I'd move him to safety because of his ball skills and awareness," the scout continued. "I don't think he has the long speed to ever start at corner. Intriguing. Extremely raw."

Joe Whitt on Rollins and Randall, just concluded:

JW: The secondary room has changed with Tramon and Davon leaving and Jarrett being up in the air. It's exciting. New group of skill sets. We're all excited about it. We're ready to get to work. Nothing really changes with the way we approach the room. The best guys will play. Whether they can play inside or outside, we'll let practice decide where they'll play.

JW: Different guys have different learning curves. What I'm going to do with both is I'm going to let them play all the positions and then when I get them here and see them work we'll decide where to put them.

JW: Main challenge is how do we play winning football quick. They will get to be able to make splash plays. Can they play consistently. How fast can we get them to that. Some of the mistakes you have to learn from. How fast can I expose them to hard situations.

JW: If you think about Sam, I'm not trying to compare anyone to Sam. I want to make sure we're playing high level football when we play Chicago.

JW: Pleased with Rollins' knowledge, he was further along that I thought. Smart kid. When I gave him the test and quiz, he performed well.

This guy takes the ball away from the opposition at an alarming rate.

I don't care what college division he played in, to not play college football until senior year, and then be the defensive player of the year is remarkable. This guy has natural talent, and a dedication, that could make him one of the steal's of the draft.
