So Rodgers has found someone new to force the ball to. 
Packers receiver Romeo Doubs has been voted the NFL Rookie of Week 3 after catching eight passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 14-12 road win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Doubs caught his first NFL touchdown off a 5-yard pass from quarterback Aaron Rodgers, finishing a 10-play, 75-yard opening scoring drive for the Packers.
His eight receptions were the most by a Packers rookie since Gerry Ellis had eight against Tampa Bay on Nov. 30, 1980, and rank second in franchise history behind only Max McGee's nine catches against the Los Angeles Rams on Dec. 12, 1954.
Doubs is the first Packers rookie to win the award since Jamaal Williams (Week 14, 2017).
Don't know that it should go here, but thought it might be worth noting that Marquez Valdes-Scantling has not exactly been tearing it up in 2022.
MVS has 10 catches on the season for 105 yards and no TDS through 3 games, while playing with Mahomes in KC.
And MVS is now injured again (he missed practice today) and may well miss Sunday's game against TB.
He may just be allergic to TB.
Watson is going to be back this week therefore I say Doubs is going to have a fantastic game. Oh and Watson should have his best game yet as well. 
Fumbled first catch last week as well.
Calls for tar & feathers IMO.

There will be more growing pains with him and Watson. But you have to keep going back to them. They really don't have much choice.

That could very easily be 20 catches/224 yards/3 TDs if not for the pass that was ruled incomplete.

Matt LaFleur says Romeo Doubs' incompletion in the end zone is graded as a drop: "Bottom line is, if you're going to the ground, you've got to survive the ground. Otherwise it's going to be an incomplete pass."

Nice to see Doubs' success.
Once Watson gets a few more reps I expect he'll contribute more.

The Packers are the best front running team in the NFL maybe along with K.C. if they give that TD to the Packers the game is for all intents and purposes OVER...they know it, the NFL knows it. It's a stupid challenge & a waste of a Timeout.
We all know you need to hold onto the ball for 5 minutes after the catch send it to the hall of Fame in a box never letting it touch any part of the ground for a minimum of 3 decades, for it to be ruled an actual catch.
Stop wasting timeouts with challenges that are never going to be ruled in your favor.
IMHO any play that appears to have been a scoring play should be reviewed from the booth and everything about the play should be reviewable. From "making a football move" "completing the catch to the ground" AND THE FREAKIN PLAY CLOCK!! and all penalties. No matter what the call on the field is.
They don't want the games lasting 6 hours because that's exactly what would happen if they did it your way plus nothing would change. Calls would be called the same way it would just take longer to complete it.
This specific play is not one I'd go to war for, and it's more likely than not it doesn't meet the requirement for a catch as currently defined.
FWIW, my take is when his forearm touched down, the play was over, and that was a TD. If it was being reviewed as a fumble, the player would've been ruled down, so the same should apply for a catch.

I think, at this point, that Watson has a better connection with Jordan Love than he does with Rodgers. Watson is mainly used on end arounds and sweeps, with Rodgers at QB. How many downfield plays has Watson been targeted on, since he dropped that pass, in week one? Rodgers has to give Watson another chance. Right now, Doubs is our #2 WR, behind Lazard.
Even if Watson was only an MVS decoy for now, they need to send him deep

So how can they ignore an expired play clock? Twice? TDs were scored in consecutive games, after the play clock expired, before the snaps. I'll bet money, they blow the play dead, if that were to happen when the Packers are on offense.
No doubt, the NFL hates the Pack and there is a league mandate to screw them at all possible times.

How do you know they are not? Do we we have a breakdown of the routes he has run?
He is the #4 WR and I think that's the right call at this point.
He missed time in camp and is paying the price for not having the opportunity to prove he is better than any of the 3 ahead of him. Serious questions, do you think he deserves more snaps than Cobb right now? I would HAVE thought that at draft time. At week 4, the answer is hell no.
If you want him to get more snaps that means you are going 4 wide and taking Jones or Dillon as well as any TE off the field. Is that our best personnel grouping. Fuck no it's not. Think it through.
The best place for Watson to get more PT in my opinion is on special teams. That said, I don't think they want to risk the injury and be down to just 3 of the original 5 WR's.

Thats very true but I think that needs to change ASAP . Doubs and Lazard are doing great but Watson needs to get in the mix. Rodgers needs to get over his self and get this rook up to snuff. We need Watson to show his stuff sooner rather than later. I know he dropped one but come-on man we can't stunt his growth and confidence. imho
Maybe Watson isn’t good at the short to intermediate routes yet and that’s why Rodgers doesn’t throw to him? I’m not stating that as a fact but just as a possibility.
The bottom line with Watson, his athleticism is significant but his lack of experience in a true NFL style passing game is limited. He was on a heavy run based team in college. Then he ends up missing 3/4 of the preseason due to unplanned surgery.
I think he’ll be good at some point but he is extremely raw and these games have been too close to put a raw player out there for a huge amount of snaps. Hey, at the very least maybe he can start out as sort of the “Tyler Ervin” role but with a ton more pure speed than Ervin had.
I think the idea that Rodgers isn't looking at Watson is exaggerated, given his missed practice and playing time:
Romeo Doubs: 24 targets (played 4 games) = 6 targets/game
Allen Lazard:17 targets (played 3 games) = 5.6 targets/game
Randall Cobb: 12 targets (played 4 games) = 3 targets/game
Christian Watson: 10 targets (played 3 games) = 3.3 targets/game
Sammy Watkins: 7 targets (played 2 games) = 3.5 targets/game
IMO, he's getting his chances, he needs to make the most out of those chances.

Clearly it's an agenda to keep the green and gold down. I have NEVER seen Rodgers take a snap from center with the clock at :00 and not get flagged.

This may be secondary to what his primary role should eventually be but he's not only having an effect on the O when he gets the ball on those sweeps. He's pulling defenders' eyes with him every time he streaks across the back of the formation, whether he gets the ball or not. Nobody else on the team has the kind of speed on that motion to make at least a couple defenders keep their eyes on him. Because if he gets the ball and they're not paying attention, he's going to beat them to the outside and potentially pick up a big chunk of yards.
Next game, watch the plays that run or short throw away from the side where Watson ends up.
