I'm wondering what Sean Rhyan's problem is. He cannot get on the field, ever, and then he violates some substance abuse policy. He'd be our back up Guard. if he could get on the field. Another guy who would not allow defenders to get by him, in college. What's up with him?

Reading between the lines of some quotes from coaches, I think Rhyan isn't as prepared to play as they think he should be. Who knows what that means, but I take it as he's slacking off somewhere along the line, whether it's weight room work, film study, or being lazy.
Whatever the case, it's a downright shame that a 3rd round OL can't contribute on STs. Ditto for the OL when an opportunity was there.

The PED violation/suspension was beyond stupid. When a player guarantees he WON'T be available for however many games, he is cooking his own goose.

Bakh could be done for the year. After surgery to remove the appendix he will have a weight lifting restriction of like 20 lbs for at least a month. Then more time to get back into football shape. So its likely we will see a lot more of Tom on the OL this tear.

Daktari's contract situation is similar to Rodgers, as far as having a fairly massive dead cap hit. Per Spotrac, he has a $29M cap hit next year, but a dead cap hit of $23M.
Incidentally, his cap hit would be $32M in 2024, but his dead cap hit drops to $11M. Still a significant chunk of money, but much easier to manage.
I'll suppose these numbers can be massaged a bit somehow or another, but the piper has gotta be paid sooner or later.

FWIW, my opinion is if Dak feels like he can still play next year, he's earned that right. He's played well when he could this year; it's just his availability has suffered because of various injury. Or an appendix...

I think you have to look at the 23 million as a sunk cost. Then, you have to determine if it's worth 6 million to have him play for you next year. If it's not, then you move on. You are eating the 23 million either way. Is 6 million too much for a guy that you don't know whether he can play 48 hours before every game?

Is it possible Rhyan has Tony Mandarich syndrome. Maybe he was on PEDs in college, then when he got to the NFL and had to deal with the testing he came off of them and sucked? So he started using again and got caught?

Exactly.   I think the answer is yes because you hope the knee improves in the off-season and he is lights out when he does play.

Anyone hear Hutchinson's name yesterday? His stats show one tackle and one assist. I don't even recall him being close to Love. The OL was a major key to the game. Zach Tom: what a fourth-round gem.

I remembered him flushing Love out of the pocket once early in the game but nothing else stands out.

Looks like Tom will be a keeper on the O-line. But like all rookies who perform well/above expectations, need to be weary of Year 2 regression.  Don’t want to anoint him too soon, but his first year numbers are pretty phenomenal.

Last year during this time, I did a handful of 3 and 4 round mocks. And it seemed like Zach Tom was ALWAYS available. And anytime I picked him in the third or fourth, I ALWAYS a got a pick grade of a C or D. Didn’t know anything about him other than I read he could play all positions on the O-line.

2023 was Tom’s second season.

Position flexibility is the #1 thing Packers look for in OL...that's why I think Bortolini from Bucky is rated very highly for them...probably more than most teams.

Packers need a Lucas Patrick 2.0 that can handle all 3 spots on the IOL and Bortolini seems to fit that role

This is who I want in the 1st Round if he's still there. Or maybe even trade up a few spots. Could be Elgton Jenkins 2.0 .
