The Packers could have had Barry Sanders. Still chaps my ass. There, I'm done.

The Packers could have had Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas or Deion Sanders, . Still chaps my ass. There, I'm done.
FIFY
You can make the argument that any other 1st Rounder picked that year would've had a bigger/better impact on the Packers.

Nope, but his roommate did.
As @AndrewBrandt likes to say, veteran NFL contracts are structured as "2 years, then we'll see..."

David Bakhtiari is no different.
It it essentially a 2 year, $53M deal with team options of $17.5M in 2023 and $21.5M in 2024.

Impressive.
I watched it all the way thru and he caught the ball cleanly every time.
And Aaron thinks he needs more weapons!
Bahk is a YAC machine.
You mean āYACh machineā, right?
Official story of positivity.
Bakhtiari said his year-long recovery from a torn ACL was plagued by setbacks, including swelling, fluid build-up and additional damage inside the reconstructed knee.
After making his season debut in the season finale in Detroit, Bakhtiari tried to get through a week of practice in the leadup to the divisional round but didnāt feel right, and he ended up missing the Packersā playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers.
His season ended after playing only 27 total snaps.
āThis is a (expletive) nightmare. This thing wonāt end,ā Bakhtiari told Nagler.
Bakhtiari said he had the knee drained of fluid at least 15 times during the season. Every time he tried to come all the way back, fluid build-up and inflammation set him back.
On Monday, coach Matt LaFleur said the team believes Bakhtiariās knee is structurally sound, and there isnāt great concern over the long-term health of the knee. Bakhtiari said the same when asked if he had any concerns.
āNo,ā Bakhtiari said. āThe hurdle you want to get over is having a full recovery from an ACL. I know my ACL is good. My meniscus is good, they cut out like 10-15 percent of it. Itās just my knee needing rest. Structurally itās good. Just need to take this time off.ā
On the next steps: āI just need to turn off the car and let it sit.ā
The Packers are off until the start of the offseason workout program in April.
Bakhtiari, a five-time All-Pro, signed a new, four-year deal with the Packers in November of 2020. Heās under contract in Green Bay through 2024.

Poor Bakh, that has to just suck. Sounds like it's time the knee needs more than anything. Just glad long term, this does not appear it will be an issue. Crossing fingers that's what happens
Lots of second-guessing of MLF for his decision to play him in the meaningless Lion game. That was probably a mistake as was the juggling of the line that didn't work out well against the Niners.
Welp, if they were draining this thing over 15 times, maybe just shut him down for the season would have also been the wiser move. IDK who thought this knee was going to get any better.
Hopefully Jenkins doesn't go through the same thing.
His knee needs more beer.
Dang that's tough. Can't imagine going through something like that where you're desperate for your body to function and something keeps happening to set it back.
Probably should have shut him down after, I don't know, the 10th fluid draining. I'm not a doctor though, just seems like things were not going well and it was time to call a spade a spade and plan for 2022.
