Maybe Goodell can step in and assign Marshawn Lynch to our roster to make amends for the Fail Mary?
I'm amazed that an all-pro RB in his prime would still be a street FA after week 13.
@TyDunne
#Packers RB Ryan Grant says he's "not the average" 30-year-old back. Some truth to that. Has 925 career carries. Cedric Benson has 1,600.

Welcome back, RG25! Looking forward to seeing you run for daylight.
Starks not IRd as of yet. Sounds like there is hope he could be back for Tenn or Minn, or playoffs. White IRd.
I don't know who else the Packers could have expected to add at this point in the season. Grant is probably the best choice for a number of reasons, and at least he's familiar with the team and the offense. Hopefully he can come in and provide a spark.

Lets just hop Grant doesn't cough it up mutliple times early again in that case.
It really did not matter in the end, did it?
I expect Grant will give them exactly what they are looking for... 15ish carries for 40-60 yards.
At least we don't have to worry about him getting injured since he has not worked with the strength and conditioning for some time.

Also, his skills in pass protection will be huge considering the state of the OL.

May have been one of the big factors that tipped the scales for RG. Maybe Ted and Mike are hoping his veteran savvy pays off and Grant can ward off father time in a shortened season. But the blitz pickup will be key down the stretch.

I for one am glad Ryan's back in the fold. He won't be the runner he once was, but he is really good as a receiver out of the back field, and he can help pick up some blitzes. Anything that improves Aaron's protection is ok with me.
Plus, I've always liked Ryan Grant.

As long as Grant can get still protect Arod, get a few yards and hold onto the football, I'm all for it. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up finishing out the season as the starter.

I'm just not remembering it that way. When I think of Grant out of the backfield I mostly remember dropped passes. Good enough runner but out of the backfield I was always nervous.
A good signing given the circumstances, but there's a reason he was still available.
He averaged 5 YPC with the Skins. Can't believe they let him go! ![Smiler](http://timesfour.com/x4graemlins/icon_smile.gif)
