Simms says TB wins 9 out of 10 vs GB and it’s just a bad matchup for GB.

That's puzzling and he may want to rewatch the first game. Don't see it as a bad matchup and most you can really say is that they're pretty evenly matched (I think GB is overall the better team).

A pretty good review of the first game from Andy Herman.

I always turn the tv on at 12:59 E.S.T. As well.

I grew up watching every minute of the early shows before the games. Jimmy the Greek and Brent Musburger etc etc....now, I  turn the tv on uat game time. None of the pre game chatter matters.

Good points by Herman ....look at how many guys played in that game that will not see "non-special team" snaps this week. Burks, Summers, Jackson, Garvin, M. Adams, Ramsey, Hollman,  Sheppard, Taylor, Sternberger, Lovett.... every snap (210 total) this time that is substituted for these player's snaps in the first game is a positive. Players not playing this time that may be negative replacement snaps this time are Bak, Greene, Keke, their snaps totaled 101. The players we will put on the field this time are not only better players (Lazard for Sheppard / Taylor / St. Brown; Kirksey / Martin for Burks / Summers; King (hopefully) for Jackson), but many of our other players (Clark, Gary, & safeties) are playing better than they were then.

It’s critical that the Packers D gets pressure on Brady.  You let him sit back there and he’ll pick you apart.

The good news is Gary is turning it on and Preston Smith seems to be playing better as of late.  We all know Z will be good for a few pressures and KC can be disruptive in the middle.   If the field is sloppy and conditions aren’t great it will make it a lot more challenging for TB to sidestep or slide as he likes to do.

To no one's surprise I agree with that assessment.  TB has a defense that can shut down the Pack for a quarter and a half.  Gonna have to overcome something like that if it happens.  Need some big plays from our defense.  Stick to the plan if adversity strikes.

I also see the Pack as underdogs in this one. We have to play flawlessly to win. Just a bad match up, kinda like the 9ers were last year.

Go Pack! Shock them all.

I used to watch it just to see Phyllis George and later Jayne Kennedy!!

Gotta have faith in Mike Pettine.

I will if he gets out of his comfort zone, for a change. The reason his defenses are so bad against Brady, Brady loves the short to intermediate game. Pettine needs to take those away from Brady. Pressure Brady and press his WRs.

Re watching the saints bucs

bucs:

- 89 fumble late in the 3rd is the changing point - they will make you pay when you turnover so ya TO are yuggge

- our 3rd db against their 3rd wr and big game from brate so if we put Amos on gronk covering Godwin and brate is the key

- 28 had a great game for them too

if we go big to stop run we can suffer in pass pro

brady hit critical throws but we can beat their offense

TB def - none of the smoke in mirrors shit is going to work

- hard running can work and be patient with it bigger lineman, even  use a fb - the rush is big here

- deep passes and middle is also something that can work, the short funny try to fake them out - don’t even try it

Going to be a big key -- The Bucs already know they can't win straight up. They're going to try & get after the Packers mentally to get them off their game. I hope MLF has warned the entire team to not fall into that trap.

Just play your game at the highest level & the Bucs have zero% chance to win 0%

In the Lehigh Valley, until the Holmgren era, I saw at most 2 Packer games a year, if I was lucky. There was also no tv schedule to even know who would be broadcast on a given Sunday, until the Sunday morning paper that provided the new tv book. Many times the pre or post game were the only times I'd be able to see any highlights. And if we were blessed with the Cosell halftime highlights, it was a huge bonus. Now, there's so much coverage 24/7 that it essentially cancels itself out. I'm going on 25 years of being able to see every Packer game, and I relish it every week. Now these shows fall over themselves to keep you watching, and the game becomes secondary to antics. You can only build up a game so much. Just get me to Lambeau 2 minutes before kickoff and I'm happy.

From packers.com:

The Green Bay Packers have elevated CB Tramon Williams (truh-MON) from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday as a COVID-19 replacement, elevated DL Brian Price and CB KeiVarae Russell (kee-VAR-ay) from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday, signed P Ryan Winslow to the practice squad and released RB Dexter Williams from the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Saturday.

Not a lot of love out there for the Pack in the media. Was listening to "movin the chains" and it's like "it's the Packers defense against all those weapons on Tampa's offense" Well the Packers have weapons too moran!

COVID replacement?  What am I missing?

Agree. Love how Jenkins frustrated Aaron dumdum Donald and got the 15 yarder

Insurance for King, sure, but even now Tramon is probably the third-best corner on the roster. Plus he can slide to safety in a pinch.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see him at safety with both Savage and Amos still on the field (move Amos closer to the box).

Sullivan has been damn good in the slot.
