What I took away from this game was the overall improvement from the previous week on both sides of the ball.
OL was much better, and rush blocking was great. There were some Mack truck-sized holes opened up all game long. Van Lanen had a GREAT game, IMO.
RBs continue to run well.
Love indeed played better, but his bar was so low to start with, that ain't saying a lot. No INTs may be the single biggest improvement.
I didn't get to see the opening drive, and I thought he looked good on the series that produced the TD, but after that he seemed to fall apart. The pass he threw immediately before Davis' fumble was ungodly bad.
WRs still need plenty of work.

Defense was pretty stout, excepting rush defense.
Pass rush generates pressures, but not getting any sacks from that.
It's hard to find faults with LB play. Not perfect by any means, but the difference from previous years is amazing.
Ditto for the DBs. Seeing the depth guys develop brings lots of confidence to the upcoming season.
There were a lot of guys that had outstanding games including McDuffie, Wilborn, Thomas, and Cross.

Amari Rodgers doesn't seem to have the physical or mental makeup to play at this level. I'd prefer to keep Winfree over him if it came down to the two of them.

The thing I don't like about Winfree is he looks like a guy who is at his ceiling.  He's been around a while and only shows up in PS.  Do you keep a guy like that vs Amari who may still be developing though possibly not quickly enough?  Depends on the attitude of the FO.

Amari Rodgers is a strange one. Looks in much better shape this year, but doesn't do anything above average. He looks the part, but it doesn't translate to the field. I get the feeling he's not a big study guy.

Aaron never mentions him by name and he loves him some Winfree. I think Amari is not only on the bubble, but may be on another roster in the next couple of weeks .

Yep. Rodgers sideline interview Friday night, about the young receivers:

"I really like what I'm seeing from Doubs and Juwann; couple other guys need to step up."  All but called Amari out.

He played the entire game last week and well into the second half last night, so they are really looking at him hard.  Seems like it's now or never.

What alarms me about Amari most are the mental breakdowns.  Athletically, he’s just OK, but his decisions are awful too many times to have confidence he’s not going to lose a game for us.  IMO, he’s damaged goods, and should be benched at the very least.

Zero shits given about box score. Show me.

I defended the kid when he was drafted…because no one knows how good or bad kid is gonna be. My assessment has nothing behind it other than what I have seen with my own eyes, and in my own opinion. Never said he wasn’t gonna pan out, just said I haven’t seen it yet.

I’ve given JL props when I felt it was warranted. If that’s dishonest in your opinion. So be it.

No idea how good the kid will be, but calling him out for bad play on his good play? Ridiculous!

I had not seen his 4th pass in this clip (my stream was cutting out a lot). That is the best throw he's ever made as a Packer that I have seen. That was a "WOW" play. That was an Aaron Rodgers throw. But I'm no MENSA.

Dude, that Toure play was awesome. Well except for the drop part.

The WR's and TE's cost Love at least 100 yards passing last night.

It's OK, we can disagree. Doesn't mean there is an ulterior motive. Lots of people disagree with me about the throw. Lots of people agree with me.

I've defended the kid way more than I've criticized him over the years, if anything because he's a local kid and played at an MWC school.

I judge him on the totality of his performance, not the box score...and I said vs the Saints was his best performance yet as a Packer that I've seen. Hope he continues to progress into the QB we all hope he can be.

I thought Love looked like a pro this week, which was nice after last week's performance.

The back up o-line looked good,  Sean Rhyan badly whiffed on a play, otherwise they looked pretty good. Caleb Jones is a very large, nimble human being.

Back up  defense looked good.

Winfree catches the ball. Even if he has reached his full potential, that's a quality Amari Rodgers may never develop.

This is kind of what I saw, heard, and am reading.  He looked like an actual pro -he made a lot of good throws as well as a lot of top shelf throws.  He looked more in command and calmer in the pocket.  Doesn't mean he's ready to be an above average starter right now but it does calm some of the nerves that this guy is another Paxton Lynch.  Time will tell though.

His hands remind me a lot of pre 2021 MVS. A lot of his catches involve the ball being juggled or bobbled. Always fighting the ball instead of just catching it. The better WR's in the league just catch the ball and secure it. Once it's in their hands the ball is as secure as their gloves.

Ignore Goalline. He’s just an asshole.
