Hey, if the NFL deems it worthy of a prime time special, then I can make a predictions thread. Three quick questions:

Our SB run is in the distant past, so I wouldnt be surprised by a weak opening opponent. Maybe the bares. could be the Browns
probably wont be SF since it was our first and last game in 2012
small chance we host Baltimore in week 1.
we'll definitely get a primtetime with the queens. the interest in that rivalry has overtaken the bares since our games with chicago have been less interesting and one sided recently while the queens matchups have been more intense, esp with the Jennings reunion.

Did not realize until I read recently that they've only opened on the road once in MM's tenure. Figure it almost has to be a road game this year, right?

Maybe not, the Packers opened at home every year from 1986 to 2003. Some teams are favored over others when it comes to getting week 1 home openers.
Packers will play Detroit again on Thanksgiving. It is just like an every other year thing. Packers will play Chicago on a Sunday night early in September but this time it will be in Green Bay. (Again, every year) Packers will Vikings on a Monday Night game in November at the dome. Other Sunday Night Game will be the Steelers and San Francisco.
Three Sunday Night Games, One Monday Night game, and Turkey Day game.
Opening Sunday Night will be Green BAy at SAn Fran.

Yep,Pack at Baltimore. You may recall they came to GB last go round on MNF a few years back.

I read that Balt. couldn't host because of a conflict with the Orioles. They don't share a stadium so what could be in conflict?
The two stadiums share a parking lot and it presented logistical issues
Along with that, I believe that the Orioles are playing a home game that day. The NFL and Ravens asked MLB and the O's to see if they could move or adjust and the MLB and O's said..... NOPE!
I get that there were some legitimate logistical problems with moving the O's game, but it mostly reeks of MLB sick of giving way to a sport that can outdraw it's ALCS series in it's first televised game of the preseason.

@TomSilverstein: Am hearing the Packers will play at 49ers at 3:25 pm in the season opener on Sept. 8.
So they start the year the same way they started last year...just @ SF instead of in Lambeau
