And typical media, no one calls him out on one of the dumbest, most un-baseless predictions of all time.  Just like the "wildcat", once teams saw the read option for a season, they figured it out and forced Kaepernick to develop the rest of his game.  Never happened and this is the result.  Lucky for the 49ers, they gave Kaepernick a "pay as you go" contract so can get out of it at any time with minimal cap issues.  

To be accurate he said one of the greatest, still wrong.

Read an interesting article lately about how a number of NFL scouts are looking at FCS teams to see if the next great QB is there. 

College teams are putting up big numbers but they aren't churning out a lot of good QBs that are prepared to play in the NFL.  The wide open spread offenses where QBs don't take a snap under center is all the rage but a lot of those players can't play at the next level.

Pro style offenses and reading defenses and going through progressions is becoming less and less common in college football.  Kaepernick is a great example of what's wrong with NFL quarterbacking.
