Bledsoe was signed to a very team friendly deal at about half of his market value. It is easy for people to pile on him for missing shots... but, I don't think it is fair when you consider all the other players who did the exact same thing: Brogdon, Middleton, Lopez, Giannis, Niko, Ersan, George, Planet Pat. Seriously, this is something the team will have to work out together: MAKE YOUR SHOTS.

Eric Bledsoe is a phenomenal defender, and I think he did well as a distributor this season. I'm glad they signed him, especially to that deal. There was not a single Buck who didn't get the yips and helped lose a game for us. Not one.

I agree that Bledsoe's deal was team friendly. I don't know about half his market value, but he would have gotten at least that from many teams. The problem in the Raptors series wasn't that Bledsoe wasn't the only one who didn't hit their 3s at a high enough rate to make the Raptors pay for the Giannis wall defensive scheme. The problem was that the Raptors didn't even bother to contest his shot at the 3 point line. In the case of Lopez, Middleton, and Brogdon, the Raptors made it a point to contest. This meant that even if they didn't hit the shots, it still helped to space the floor. With Bledsoe, they stuck a big guy on him who didn't leave the paint and made floor spacing much worse. They treated him the same way they treated Ben Simmons in the Sixers series.

I like Bledsoe and was happy they signed him, but his playoff collapse was indisputable.  His shooting was atrocious, he played scared and trashed the offense flow which played right into Toronto's plan....they could use the extra defender to collapse and not even care about leaving Bledsoe wide open !!!! Might be exaggerated, but he may have been the worst guard in the series.....outplayed by Lowry, Hill, Brogdon, VanVleet and Powell.

I’m just not sure Bledsoe is the right fit in this system.  He’s only about a 30% shooter from 3.  In the playoffs that dropped to about 25%.   I agree he plays good defense but maybe the reason he got a hometown discount was due to those other issues.  All I know is for the same money I’d rather have Brogdon.

Mirotic is a one dimensional guy (3 point shooter) and if they could get him back for a reasonable amount I would consider it.  That’s why Lopez is so important.  His ability to hit long range shots opens things up for others.
