I know I probably jinxed them, but this team just seems so, well, predictable.  And predictable as in really ****ing good.  Not losing back to back games.  Dominating at home and on the road. Great bench and Coach Bud is the mad scientist.  I mean, it’s what we have seen all year right?

What did it for me was them steamrolling the Celtics.  Yes they had chemistry issues and Kyrie is an idot, but they ripped out their hearts and boat raced that team.  Brad Stevens looked like a D3 coach and I’ve not seen that before.

Look, Toronto is a solid team but they are not on the same level as the Bucks.  I mean,  Milwaukee HUMBLES you a lot like Golden State has done the last several years.   It’s almost like you know what’s coming but you can’t stop it unless the Bucks just play poorly.  That can happen, but if it does they regroup and go back to kicking ass and taking names.

I realize I or we shouldn’t be so cocky but I do not see this team losing 4 of the next 5 against Toronto.   I don’t care if it is on the road.  In fact, the way they are playing right now (with focus) I would be surprised if they didn’t sweep the Raptors.   Did any of you see Kahwi and his body language.   Seem familiar?  He looked defeated after last nights game.  Not all that different from Kyrie Irving’s reaction after games 3 and 4.   And if Kahwi isn’t locked in that team is completely ****ed.

I give the Raptors credit they do play hard and I expect Milwaukee will probably get their best effort in game 3 but I’m just not sure that’s good enough.  I mean, Middleton and Bledsoe have given them nothing in this series so far and it doesn’t matter.   That’s how good and deep this team is.  Someone will step up.  In game 1 it was Lopez.  Last night it was Ersan and Brogdon.  Too many weapons, man.  Too many weapons.

Geez man...breathe....settle down a little bit.

U married the first one that blew bubbles didn't you?

The only team left the Bucks cannot steamroll is Golden State. Toronto is done. The Barnies got actual bench production last night with Powell and Ibaka- they got 39 points (admittedly, about 9 of those in garbage time). But this time the Bucks bench went out and got 54 points and Toronto never got it closer that 13 in the second half. The Bucks have all the matchup advantages and now they are playing like they know it.

Its not an aberration- they truly have been playing like this all season long. Sure, I think everyone had some β€œok, but now it’s the playoffs” doubts, but how can you now? Nothing they’re doing right now is playing over their head- they’ve been doing it all season. Just look at last night: 46.7% from the field? They shot 47.6% during the season. 31.7% from three? They shot 35.3% during the season. 125 points against a good defense? They averaged 118 during the season.

The Celtics got one punch in, then never had a chance in another game. Toronto almost got that punch in- but once the Bucks shook off the week-off rust they blew them out. These two basketball teams are good, well coached teams with real talent... and it hasn’t mattered. And even though the Bucks will have stretches when the shots stop falling, they make a few careless mistakes, or a few calls go against them, their coach knows what he’s doing and has his rotations dialed in. And though so few have noticed because they don’t watch the Bucks, this process was happening all season long. Budenholzer knows playoff basketball, understands the scheme works under all circumstances, and has the right quantity and mix of players to counterpunch.

And a good % of the reason this is all coming together is because of #34. Giannis is completely committed and driven to win, and he has given his coach the reigns. This is the synergy that great teams are built on. Popovich had it with Duncan, Riley had it with Magic, and Jackson had it with MJ and Kobe. Kerr had it with Curry even before Durant ruined the party. It’s rarer than people realize, and it’s why we all loathe the NBAAU crap that typifies today’s ring chasing player culture. The Bucks have achieved in a short time that perfect mix of scheme, coaching, star player, and complimentary pieces that makes teams perennial championship contenders.

The Bucks took home court and now are making quick work of the EC to get to the Finals. The collision course is set. It’s going to one helluva Finals...

Great post MC

As fans I think it’s OK to be skeptical of teams like the Bucks given their history.  But should we?  This particular team looks and plays a lot like those early 70s teams in terms of dominating opponents.  I mean, man they are intimidating people and making it look really easy.

Make no mistake about it the Raptors are a good team.  Boston was a good team.  But the Bucks are better and they’ve proven it all season long and it’s carried over into the playoffs.  What’s changed now is they have all their weapons- Mirotic, Hill, and Brogdon in particular whereas they didn’t in the regular season.  Their depth is unreal and they can still win when half their starters don’t play particularly well.

Kahwi Leonard is a great player.  He’s played very well.  But it doesn’t matter.  For the Raptors to beat this team honestly most of their starters need to have incredible games because they really don’t have much on the bench.  The Bucks stay fresh because of their bench and Bud can pull guys or feature guys depending on how they are playing.  Toronto doesn’t have that luxury.

Golden State is a different animal but they need to dispatch the Raps first and they are well on their way.

Heard something funny this morning.....

"The Raptors are halfway to extinction....and the meteor is named 'Giannis'..."

πŸ˜†

Did you all see Giannis in the post-game presser? He had  that same look when they finished off Boston...he's not happy until he completes the job. He's focused & so is the entire team.

The finals are going to be a war. It's going to be epic & Houston is lucky they lost to the Warriors. They would've been crushed by this Milwaukee team.

That is the key point. Finish them!

I loved what Giannis said after the game when the reporter asked him about the MVP. Said he doesn't care about that right now and is focused on game 3. Watching these guys all year and seeing how Bud handles things, they're laser focused  on the task at hand. Doesn't matter what us fans think.

Speaking of coverage. Man is it going to be a downgrade going from the TNT coverage to the ESPN California Warrior dick sucking coverage. ESPN is just brutal.

Seriously Music, could not have been more well said. All damn season long....! Their #1 ranking in defensive efficiency is clearly no joke, amongst other top rankings.

No doubt PACKDOG, you can see the focus in his eyes, with his post game comments, his play... Insanely cool. I'll never forget when they first won it all, and I wanna see it again! Many times!!!!! ESPN sucks balls. Chuck is the bomb.

I really enjoy the TNT crew and Barkley in particular.  Ernie Johnson facilitates the group well and they have good chemistry and solid basketball takes.  They just cut through the BS and say what’s on their mind.

Chuck basically nailed it and gave kudos to Jon Horst.  Toronto doesn’t have the horses and the Bucks are deep 1-8 and can hurt you in so many ways.  It’s possible that the Raptors can rally and win a game or maybe two but Toronto is not beating this team 4 times out of 5.    Giannis has that look about him and they are all business right now.  They know what’s out in front of them so close these guys out and move to the next team.

ESPN does suck balls.  Any network that employs Paul Pierce as one of their β€œexperts” needs to rethink that strategy. He’s such a moron.

Need to get 1 of these 2 so they can close them out in Game 5.  I would expect Toronto will come out and play with something to prove.  All they’ve been hearing the last 48 hrs is how they are toast and while I think the Bucks are the better team there’s no question the Raptors play hard.

The Bucks need to take a couple of punches and keep things close until the second half when they can make their move.  If they came out and got a big lead I’d be OK with that too :-)
