Brewers start a 4 game series at home vs AZ. Game starts at 6:15 and should be on Fox.

Wondering how they will handle the remaining games after already winning their Division? But, my guess is they keep trying to win and try to get to the number 2 seed and earn a first round bye.

Curious how they will play today after all the celebrating yesterday evening? Anyway Tobias on the mound for the Crew and Gamecast gives us a 60.4% chance of winning:

I think an equally interesting dynamic will be how Arizona, Atlanta, and the Mets handle the situation down the stretch.

The seeds are going to be as follows:

1. Philly/LAD

2. Philly/LAD

3. Milwaukee

4. San Diego

5-7. Arizona, NY Mets, and Atlanta

Right now the Braves are two back of the Dbacks and Mets with 10 to play. If the Braves fall farther back and the Dbacks and Mets clinch wild cards with a few games to play, they would likely rather play the Brewers rather than the Padres in a 3 game playoff series. The Padres would roll out Darvish, Blake Snell, and Musgrave as their 3 starters and the Brewers would likely have Peralta, Myers, and Montas.

The Brewers and Mets play 3 games to end the season. If you are the Mets and have a playoff series clinched, do you go all out to win the 3 games to make it more likely you'll play the Padres, or do you hold back a bit and make it more likely to play the Brewers the following week?

These teams won't admit it, but if I'm the Dbacks or the Mets, I would chose the Brewers 100 times out of 100.

  • Brewers' Willy Adames: Getting first day off

Adames isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

After clinching the NL Central on Wednesday, the Brewers will now give Adames his first off day of the season. Joey Ortiz will fill in as Milwaukee's shortstop while Andruw Monasterio starts at third base and bats ninth.
