Supposedly the lake effect snow emergency has now been extended to Monday evening. Currently hearing 2 to 4 feet of snow during this weather event, which seems to have already started. It is going to be really nasty up that way. Bills will be paying shovelers $20/hr plus food and hot beverages.
@Packiderm should have an update for us. Provided he has electricity and Internet. ๐๐ฅถ
Man, it's gonna be fun. 2 feet?
Hope the 9ers are already up there, airport conditions may get treacherous and possible closures? They may even have trouble getting out of there after the game.
@Boris I am well away from the action. Rusty is just North of it and may get some fringe accumulation. I'm hoping I don't have to travel there Mon or Tues to dig him out. Avoided it last year. Tried to find a live cam around the stadium but nothing. The North outpost, The famous "WE NEVER CLOSE " cam is up but they got bare ground. Storm chaser Brandon ( "Let's go!") is driving into the band as I type. He's in Dunkirk now.
Awesome, Thx sir ๐ซก
IDK how fans are going to get to the game safely
Gonna be gnarly for sure.
Whiners may wish they could be back in Green Bay.
How and why would you endanger so many people? How do you justify playing this game?

Dare I say, IT has gotten completely out of hand. What will be done for money.
Hey Goldie, I just got home with a bag of Doozies. Marionberry. Head over.
About 20 " at High Mark and still coming down Sun morning.
People driving around in this shit!
Buffalo gets a lot of lake effect snowfall, just as anyone does, who lives near a big lake, like Erie or Superior. Ever hear of factory effect snowfall? We had that happen on Thanksgiving day when were traveling near Menomonie, WI on I-94. A glass factory released a lot of steam, into the atmosphere, where the hot steam met with the cold, humid air and caused it to snow. It snowed heavily, too! There was also some ice pellets mixed with it. Some county trucks were out, salting the roads, to prevent ice build up.
I know, crazy! We got just over 2 inches, folks 10 miles away more upwind got nothing.
Growing up I lived closer to Ontario and we would get some good steady snow from T-giving all the way into Jan. In HS we would get a case of beer or 2 and one of the guys had a late 60's Chevy Biscayne wagon. Firestone Town and Country's all the way around. About 6 of us would pile in and go "drift hopping! One night the rad supports let lose and the fan got involved with the fun.
@Boris posted:Just like going to Lambeau when they played Tampa. Snowmobiles!!
I was on leave from the military the weekend of the snow bowl against Tampa. For the first time in my life I had Packers tickets in my hands, and I couldn't get there because the roads were so bad.
I grew up right on Lake Michigan and we would get lake effect snows quite a bit but as bad as it was at times we would never get 4 feet of it. I hope everyone can be safe during this storm.
I am also wondering how they can justify playing this game today.

I'm just an hour east and we have nothing. My son was home for Thanksgiving and drove back to Indiana yesterday. Normally would follow I-90 right along Lake Erie, but he drove due South into Pennsylvania and drove around that band until popping back up around Cleveland. That stretch between Buffalo and Erie PA just gets hammered.
Bills stadium is south of Buffalo in Orchard Park which is due east of the lake shore. So it will always be in the direct path of a lake effect snow storm. Had they built their stadium north of Buffalo where there is no lake to the west they would not be facing this situation near as often, if ever.
Radar indicates it's still coming down hard in Orchard Park.
I usually don't watch many other games, only Packer games. If it's a compelling game for some reason I may tune in. But I'm pretty sure I'll watching tonight just to see the snow bowl. Go Bills, help put the 9ers out of their misery for this year.
I have a hunch the Niners are going to play very well tonight.
I have another hunch Josh Allen and the bills will turn the ball over a couple times making the game very very close
Lamar Jackson takes more dumb sacks than almost anyone in the league. Just took another a 14 yard sack on 3rd and 5 to force a 47 yard FG instead of a 33 yard one, and Tucker missed.
He did the same thing in the first half and lost 13 yards (intentional grounding) but Tucker bailed him out by making a 50 yarder.
Radar appears to show the snow is about done for a while. Just a few snow showers off to the west of Orchard Park.
#31 Rasul Douglas on Bills, miss ya in GB dude! Beat the 9ers!
Can I get some snow?
This game reminds me of noon recess games of tackle in the snow in elementary school. The fastest guy always scored.
Wonder what's up with McCaffrey.
Yeah I didn't think McCaffrey would get hurt and be out again. They were starting to get something going with him then I guess his Achilles on both legs started acting up again.
Moody made a helluva kick. On target just a couple yards short. 55 yarder in those conditions is insane.
Racehorse problems.
