3-109.

That's inconceivable to me.

Great stuff.

Looks to me like this offense is like a 2015 version of the original West Coast Offense where the short passing game is in essence the rushing attack as well.

A lot of people were making noise about this Dan Campbell guy. In 2008, the Rams started out 0-4, fired Scott Linehan before the bye, and then won their next two games with Jim Haslett (including a 20 point win over Dallas). They then proceeded to lose their next ten games to finish 2-14.

Lots of ways to skin the cat but remember teams play Brady much differently than they play Rodgers. Most defenses (Pats included) don't want Rodgers to be able to leak out and run for a first down. Its a killer.

But with Brady they have no such concerns.

Teams rush Brady to sack him, while they rush Rodgers to contain him.

When teams rush Brady, they are screaming upfield- the perfect time to call screens and draws. When teams rush Rodgers, they are often trying to stay even with him and close the pocket and they don't blitz cause Aaron kills the blitz. That's why those plays work for the Pats, but aren't as effective a strategy for the Rodgers-led Packers

Sometimes defenses even use a spy, similar to what teams do vs Wilson and Kap.

Brady on the other hand is a statue. He has to get the ball out ASAP

Rodgers by comparison is lethal when he extends plays - both throwing late with awesome precision or being a threat to run. And for some reason Aaron seems to eschew the checkdowns if there is any possibility of a big play.

Keep in mind - nearly every single pass play has a short option available -

The Final Decider is a guy wearing the number 12 on his jersey.

Brady sees a lot more Cover 2 - the perfect defense to dink and dunk against.

Pats have no threat of a running game, so defenses don't have to bring a Safety into the box very often.

The Packers on the other hand do have a running game and defenses do bring a Safety down to address that. That means when they pass, there is one more DB in the short area to take away the screens and draws. Its a numbers game. That's a big part of what Aaron does at the LOS.

2 deep safeties ? hand it off. Only 1 ? throw it.

Not that simplistic of course, but you get the general idea

And it also means that the deeper routes are more attractive with only a single high safety responsible for the entire deep half of the field. That's where the boundary WRs like Jones and Nelson (and hopefully Adams) kill teams. Rodgers looks off the single high and has a one- on- one outside. That favors the Packers big time

Certainly both QBs see all kinds of defenses, but the overall tendencies are polar opposite because they are such different QBs at this stage in their careers

Dinking and dunking vs single high just isn't the best move

I'm often dismayed when Packer fans say "we should be more like the Pats on offense" or "we should be more like the vikings in free agency" or any number of  fan comments lamenting about how we should be more like other teams.

The Packers do what's best for their personnel and spend an enormous amount of time and money making sure they are getting it right. Not perfect, not infallible- but pretty effing awesome at what they do.

We're the Mighty ****ing Green Bay Packers and that's who we are and that's what we do.

That's what these guys work on all day long.

Trust them a little more and keep reminding ourselves that we really don't know ****ing squat.

Packers beat Belichick in the SB once and they'll do it again.

Mark it down.

I wonder what Rodgers & Packers record is when throwing 80% or more? 3-0??

When you review the Patriots remaining schedule the only game left that looks difficult is at Denver.  It's pathetic.

The Pats are so tough to beat at home that you have to believe they are a shoe in to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl

This is where the karma police need to intervene.  You know damn well that Belicheck and Brady want nothing more than to rub Goodell's face in this but sometimes what goes around comes around.  Maybe Brady pulls a Brian Griese and trips over his toy poodle and falls down the stairs and his season is over.  Not that I wish injury on anyone but he's due for some bad luck

I had completely forgotten Jennings was even on the Phins this year he has been so quiet.  Especially now that Philbin isn't there, he probably has nobody in his corner at this point.

The guy had a pretty good career, but it's over.  Actually, it was already kind of over about midway through 2011.  He never was the same guy physically after about midway through that season.

Off the field, I'll always think of Jennings as the really cool guy who came to our company's department picnics in Brown Deer in 2008 and 2009 and handled himself extremely well at those events.  Unfortunately, I don't think he's been quite that same guy the past 5 years or so and that's always sad to see fame go to a guy's head.  Hopefully he'll revert back to the old Jennings, but you just never know.
