Bullshit call. Too damn bad, really.
Now that I think about it, that holding call against the Eagles DB was pretty similar to what King (?) was called for in the playoff game vs Tampa 2-3 years back.
Under fairly similar circumstances, too. Although that was near the end of the first half as opposed to the end of the game. But perhaps just as influential on that game.

Bitching about the refs βgiving the game to KCβ is comical. KC almost certainly makes the FG if no flag is thrown. While Philly wouldβve had a much better chance to tie or win, thereβs no guarantee they wouldβve done either. They moved the ball at will in the first half and scored 24. Not so much in the second half and scored only 11. KCs defense played much better.
Qitcher bellyaching. And fuck Philly fans.
@MichiganPacker posted:It didn't matter, but Jalen Hurts didn't exactly show a lot of arm strength on that last throw.
He's got a big arm and can throw a lot further than that. They never went back to the replay but I bet something happened on the throw. Ball slipped, arm hit, something that would make that ball look like Rich Campbell threw it.
Count me in amongst those happy the Chiefs won. Just something about that coach of the Eagles rubs me the wrong way. Maybe someday Iβll tire of Mahomes and the Chiefs but Iβm not there yet.
The Eagles certainly look like they have a bright future but you just never know if this year was the peak and itβs a downward spiral going forwards. One thing in their favor is an extra 1st round pick they can use to replace whoever they canβt re-sign. And the way I understand it, they have a good number of starters coming up on free agency so their extra draft picks will help them stay on top.
The Rams were all that last year.
Philly is currently over the cap and have a bunch of significant FAs , especially on defense.
For those bitching about the holding call on Bradbury, he acknowledged after the game he committed the penalty and hoped the ref βwould let it slideβ.
And while Greg Olsen didnβt like the call, former Head of Officiating Mike Perreira basically said βyou have to make that callβ.
A face mask on your quarterback in overtime is a call you have to make.

I didn't like the scoop and score being called inc. The one Pereira was so quick to call inc. KK's jersey grab was ticky tack as well, but still a penalty. Fuck the eagles. The arrogance was off the chain this year. This is poetic justice.
Penalty was both ticky-tack and the right call. Official sees that jersey pull and he's making the call almost every time.
Was rooting for the Chiefs and glad they won and the best player in the league was the difference.
I'm not certain I'd call MVS the best player in the league.

Only good QBs can pull off a win while taking more than 12% of the cap. The rest whine about their receivers.π

It was a quote. Big deal! You People TM and Hillary.
While the Eagles were outstanding at converting on 3rd and 4th downs, Chiefs were the better team and deserved to win. I also think the refs called a pretty good game, they mostly let them play. And just like in most important Packer games MVS was AWOL.
So, I guess O Lines don't win championships? Phillies' O Line, while pretty decent, only really blocked on the 4th and 1 downs, they converted. Phillies' Defense was not as good, rushing the passer, as KCC's was. I don't care who won this one. I was looking for a good game to watch, between the supposedly two best teams in the League. I'd say it was a good game and there are always ticky-tack calls in pro sports, nowadays. The officials always seem to inject themselves into the game, to someone's detriment. That's the nature of the game. Just as long as it happens to the vikings, more often, I won't get upset over it.

I don't get why some people think Olsen is so bad. I think he's better and easier to listen to than Romo. He has the voice of a 12 year old but he really calls a good game.

I have no qualms about Mahomes being named MVP or best player in the league. But boy sometimes he has it SO easy to throw to a guy who doesn't have a defender within 5-10 yards of him. And it feels like that's the case more with KC than most teams. You have to wonder why Bienemi doesn't get more HC opportunities. Is Reid 98% of those plays and calls?

17%. Lots of QBs about to get paid now.

If only his football resume was considered he would have been a coach years ago. Unfortunately like most of us there are other things to consider.

Lots of QBs about to get paid too much. The problem isn't paying a guy like Mahomes or Burrow that much. It's paying guys like Cousins and Prescott 90% of what Mahomes gets.

Listened to Ross Tucker on Dan Patrick this morning. He made a good point about the field conditions and how the NFL liked the turf yesterday. With that turf, it is very difficult to generate a pass rush or cover as a DB. The crappy turf basically neutralized the Philly pass rush and the two TD throws at the goal line to guys with no one near them were the result of motion that was reversed right before the snap where it was very difficult for the DB to reverse course in man coverage.
People lamenting MVS being AWOL
He was the only receiver making plays against Tampa and was hurt in the SF game.
Rodgers is the guy thatβs been AWOL in the postseason
Won $40 on the Chiefs wining. But best part of the game was seeing Michael Keaton as Batman again.

I think it's because of his overall appearance and demeanor. He's a essentially a white Ken Doll.

I don't dislike Olsen at all. Except when he "whispers" to make a salient point.

Thatβs Kentreek
and back to MVS --he may not have been the MVP of the superbowl, but he should have been the MVP of the AFC championship game. They don't get to Arizona without his championship game

Much like the King jersey pull that won it for the Bucs at Lambeau.
Good call, bad call, the better team on yesterday won. Philly was on a roll until Hurts just dropped the ball and gave KC a free TD. I have to hand it to KC, I thought the game was basically over at half, and that Philly would wear them down the rest of the way. It also shows that TOP is way overrated -- until you seal a SB win with a long drive at the end.
On a different note, does anyone else want to see that Philly formation for short yardage get outlawed? The three guys behind the QB and push? I think back to the Ice Bowl and when Mercein threw his arms up so he wouldn't even give the appearance of helping Starr across and think what Philly does sucks. Also, I already do not like the Philly coach's antics during a game; the posturizing, pointing, etc., is just ugly. Get off my turf.

If you're referring to the WIDE OPEN WR's part of my post, I've seen receivers that open for KC in every game I've watch of theirs. SF is similar.
Iβve heard talk that the push will be up for review by the competition committee in the off season

There's also the fact that his deep speed does have an effect on how a defensive scheme is designed. Having a guy that can run a 4.3 and (at least occassionally) catch a home run opens things up for the TE underneath.

It looks like something you'd have seen in the 1920s.
