"We're not playing the Super Bowl. We're playing the Pittsburgh Steelers." - Donald Driver.

This thread is dedicated to the Packer fans that have moved on to Lambeau Field in the sky during the last year. A few have hit home right here on x4. I won't name names out of respect for the families involved but we lost a few fathers.

This thread and this game are dedicated to those fathers (and others) who are sorely missed but we know they are all still watching us.

Here's to you "dads"

I will open this thread as we approach kickoff.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday everyone!

Can't just be for Reggie. Too many ither people to play it for.

Moms and dads, sons and daughters too.

Teammates and friends on the IR.

Old teammates who these guys beat up on or make look like fools in 100s, 1,000s of practices in HS and college.

Old coaches who taught.

How bout 23yr old pre-med students who took their tests for them at all those SEC schools?

How bout all the fans that did not give up faith this year, ya ya I know there were a few?

How bout all the Packers who never sniffed the playoffs much less the SB?
To all our dads. Mine is watching from the Packers box seats in the great beyond.
I wrote this poem in his honor shortly before he died. The first letter of each line spells "Green Bay Packers".
Today this is for all our dads wherever they are.

GLORY YEARS

Glory Years in memory
Rarely a defeat
Even in the lean years
Expected a repeat
Now is not the 'next year'

Bart and Brett knew that.
Always there in spirit
Years can't change that fact.

Play like Hinkel, Hutson, Hornung
Accepting of nothing less.
Curly Lambeau's Field of Dreams
Kept Titletown as the quest.
Each year as he grows older
Reminders are too real.
Someday he'll be assisting Vince-should he stand --or kneel?

GO PACK Go! Do it for all of us.
I want this for Aaron Rodgers who dealt with: a starting QB that treated him like garbage, taunts and jeers from the Favre First Fans, and crap from the media that placed Matty Ice on a pedestal for being clutch with ZERO playoff wins and bashing AR for the same.

I want to see his legacy established for all to see - 2 wins over TOG, clutch play during the playoffs, topped off with a Super Bowl win.

Doubt that...Green and Pickett in on first down. Plus, Jenkins was too gassed in the 2009 game to be effective in the last drive of the game...this means more rotations, and possibly less dime initially...more 3 down linemen, less 2-4-5 nickle

Well...that would be a substantial "wrinkle," now wouldn't it???

I would be absolutely stunned if they went to a base 4-3, even on early "running" downs...
