So the competitive advantage people are complaining about is that Joe Callahan was signed to the roster spot opened up when Rodgers was IR'd?

Wonder if they'll IR Spriggs, Jordy, RIchRod, etc. and run some more guys out there for the Detroit?

I’ll call for Callahan again...

No way the league does anything. As for making Rodgers inactive, can you see the heyday the Queens would have had calling GB chicken to play him? Also, coaches get to evaluate another player.

Media coverage illustrates just how little time most of these dopes spend following the game and seem more focused on click based results to measure their value. I see this often with top teams. Seems sensational headlines are valued too high.

And the "Facebook" mentality of our society is to want to believe / misinterpret/ repeat / embellish what they read online even after it is refuted. A poster on another forum was speculating that we were going to lose our first round pick, this was after numerous posts had explained that the league had OKed AR's move to IR. The dumb in this country right now is at an all time high.

I think it was Vince who said, 'teams, organizations take on the qualities and personality of their leader(s)'.

Merry Christmas everyone... I am no longer surprised by the accomplishments of mankind, no matter how asinine.

No longer surprised?  You're just figuring this out now?

I think most people stopped being surprised a long, long time ago.   The best we can do is hope and pray for mankind to use accomplishments for the good of all people on earth.

Merry Christmas, TimesFour.

Just sounds to me like the rest of the league is also sick of seeing ARs talents wasted.

They are.  BIL (Vikings fan) flat out said the same things we've been talking about in terms of "travesty" and he's right.  Anyone who doesn't think Rodgers is not only the best QB but the best player overall in the NFL is fooling themselves.  Put Rodgers on any team that knows how to build a defense and it's damn near guaranteed multiple Super Bowls.

Beyond absurd.

The problem was many, myself included, had no idea as to how thorough the dysfunction runs.  It's hard to win Superbowls is the thought.  It's now pretty apparent it's more like a 50/50 proposition if you field a competent defense with Rodgers running the offense.

With the current rosters and coaching staffs, would the Browns with Rodgers beat the Packers without Rodgers?

If you put Rodgers on the Browns, they are immediately a 6-8 win team and a threat to win any game they play.

When Joe Thomas returns next year, the Browns may have one of the better OLs in the NFL. Joe Thomas at LT, Kevin Zeitler at RG, and JC Tretter at C are three great building blocks.

They have an idiot for an owner (who paid out a 92 million dollar settlement to prevent himself from going to jail for racketeering and fraud: https://deadspin.com/browns-ow...assive-se-1604799901).

If Haslem stays out of it, they are just a competent head coach and a league average QB from winning 4-5 games next year.

Dorsey could look really good really quickly. Myles Garrett is potential superstar DT and they have 2 of the top 4 picks in the draft (#1 and #4 overall right now). Pick a QB high and get a veteran stopgap to get you by for a couple of years. Alex Smith might look really good there.

Considering they just took the Packers to overtime, I'd say chances are pretty good they would destroy the Packers if they had Rodgers...especially if Packers have a Hundley/McCarthy Offensive scheme.

Actually their roster is pretty solid except for the QB position. John Dorsey will be making some headlines in the next few years. Congrats Browns, you have a good GM.

I think you put Rodgers on any team in the NFL and they are immediately a playoff team. With Cleveland's D and a QB that doesn't continuously put them in horrible spots, I think they are 9-10 win team.
