Prevent defense
++ Rip, weather (Rodgers even liked it), OL did a great job setting up on a slippery field, Jordy, Monty, MM calling a nice game, Ryan coming back, Schum is getting the hang of punting, Adams covering a squirmy onsides kick...
-- Dom, Dom, Dom, Hyde out of place more than once, ST coverage made me nervous...

Milestone in the healing process
+++ 6-6...Vikings are crying.
Now now purple fans . ...it'll all be over soon
AR with the "walk off" response at his presser: to the question as to why he's playing better "I'm just trying to win games. You guys can worry about that stuff."
Don't like winning, Pistol? Sheesh.
+. AR, Jordy, Oline, Ha Ha, Burnett , Lowey, Ryan. And for a guy who doesn't get much run....Rip
Not much on the minus side except for the long, late Houson scoring play.

Sorry. My bad.
+ This week Colin Kaepernick announced he will void his contract at the end of the year and become a free agent.
Goes 1/5 for 4 yards today then benched with a minute left in the 3rd quarter
Excellent.
That game got me drunk. Sorry. Ignore me more than usual.
+Regardless of the **** ups, they only allowed 13 points which is a winning effort. Osweiler sucks, but the D did enough to win. 21 points is a fine output considering the QB is injured and the conditions were terrible.
-Running game needs a lot of work.
Seriously, a running back.
Why is that so hard for us?
+ Dick Rodgers block attempt on Janis reverse.
+ Dick Rodgers spin move.
I can't decide which was better.
- Everything else Dick Rodgers didn't do again.
You hand him the ball. He takes it, then runs forward.
Ah ca doopy do!

Too many zero gain running plays
Jordy on pace for 92 catches for 1162 yards and 13 TDs. Not too shabby.

Offense came on late but didn't do much for most of the game.
Still lack a real running game. Struggles on third and short continue.
Defense allowed too many third and long conversions.

OL needs Tretter and Lang back
Defense may get somewhere if guys can get healthy. They're going to need a credible pass-rush down the line to cover up the secondary. Lots of encouraging signs over the past two weeks. Going to be tough to win the last 4, though. Next week's game may be the hardest of the four.

+ The Ripper
+ Monty
- James Starks, has a lot of Darrell Thompson in him
+ Cobb with some urgency today
+Jake Ryan made a big difference. His absence and Martinez's abcenses have been felt big time. It's clear we have finally found two impact ILBs.
-Ryan continues to struggle with injury as he has since college.

Play calling, nice short passes in tough conditions, the reverse to Janis, Monty in the backfield.
Jake Ryan, Ha Ha, Burnett, Dean Lowery, Jayrone Elliott on special teams
Lane Taylor sliding about 7 yards but still holding his block.
2 long time consuming offensive drives.
-------
Play calling, any run with Starks. Inability to get short yardage 1st downs.
Guion with 2 offsides.
Nelson / Gunter with highest PFF grades;
Quarterback grade: Aaron Rodgers, 74.7
Rodgers delivers in Packers’ win
This was a good showing from Aaron Rodgers, without needing to be great. The key here was avoiding turnovers, and though he did not manage this on the first drive on a botched snap, his passing was never really in danger of giving the Texans the field position they would need to score. It was real case of getting the job done in this one against a Houston defense that didn’t come after him (just five blitzes).
Top offensive grades:
WR Jordy Nelson, 87.3
LG Lane Taylor, 84.2
FB Aaron Ripkowski, 82.3
RT Bryan Bulaga, 80.7
C Corey Linsley, 79.9
Wide receiver Jordy Nelson shines despite snowy conditions
It was never going to be easy for the skill players to make their mark with the snow coming down. One player stood head and shoulders above the rest, however, and that man was Jordy Nelson. He didn’t always get the separation you like to see, but his body-positioning and catches with coverage on him where the highlight of a generally dreary affair. Outside of him, the O-line as a unit was the star of the show. They Packers’ offensive linemen made it seem as though the Texans weren’t even trying to rush the passer, such was their dominance.
Top defensive grades:
CB LaDarius Gunter, 92.0
DE Mike Daniels, 84.6
LB Joe Thomas, 83.0
CB Quinten Rollins, 82.7
DE Dean Lowry, 79.5
LaDarius Gunter with a clean sheet in coverage
This was a good game for the cornerbacks (outside of a touchdown allowed at the end), as they forced a fumble and broke up five passes whenever Osweiler came close to testing them. Gunter has had something of an up and down year, but he was very much up in this one, breaking up both targets that came his way and not allowing a catch all game.
+ Coach. He's no Chryst, but not bad.
+ HaHa and Burnett must not have had to pick up slack for the crappy CB's. Maybe it was the conditions or the fact that Osweiler stinks, but both safeties played well IMO
+ Monty and Michael showed that they can contribute. If McCarthy goes back to Starks it's a mistake.
+ Jordy is back !!
- going to assume whoever Micah Hyde is covering will be open. The guy can't run at all. If he has a significant role next year, one can assume the defense will once again suck
- Lions won
- O-line can't run block on a winning basis. Thankfully they are very good across the board in protection.

Jake is either emerging as a playmaker when on the field or his substitutes are that bad in comparison. He looked fast and decisive today on a slow track. Hope he can stay get/stay healthy because the run defense improves noticeably with him.

Unpossible, I read here that Hyde's 40 time was better than Ha Ha's!

Good win in slick conditions.

Any posts referencing grades from PFF. How HaHa does not have a top 5 defensive grade from today is beyond me. #50irishdrunks
Dean Lowry knows how to win games.
He also can't stand Capers

I think it is the former because even Joe a Thomas is better than a lot of the schmucks we have seen come and go over the last 6 years. Clay isn't an elite ILB, but he's not too bad. Ryan is emerging and I'm excited to see what Martinez does with more experience under his belt. Both guys will only get better which is very exciting.
I said it a few times, we need both our ilb's (50 &47) to be in this defense, the difference is remarkable.
+a win, and a window opening for playoffs
+12,87,21,22,18 a lot of other good,
- 56 is slowing considerably, yet i feel like i see him out there on every down. maybe an injury thing
- too much dime - even in obvious running downs, STOP man, keep the beef in. (that's what she said)
